Blast from the past

    Going through a gear box today and came across this

    No Razorbacks inside but there were a set of 20+ year old razor sharp 125gr Muzzy original 4 blades. Not a speck of rust. Crazy sharp

    I have a few of those original Razorbaks at home in a box somewhere. Next time I dig them out I'll post a few pics. The blades rotated on the ferrule and you replaced the entire cartridge rather than individual blades. Probably didn't fly worth a damn compared to today's heads, but they sure killed a pile of animals back in their day.

    IIRC they flew great because they were so low profile, but punched a tiny hole. Less than 1" cutting diameter. That cartridge would also spin freely which in theory would help the arrow maintain KE after striking the animal since hard helical fletchings were all the rage at the time.I

    We found a 4 blade model on an old busted aluminum shaft laying in the woods up at deercamp a couple years ago. Still sharp and no rust on the blades.
