Well, I decided to return a camera to the log set that was so popular last year and got this guy on camera 4 out of 7 nights. Can you tell what it is? All of the pictures were from his backside. I also threw in a fox to compare the size. The tail and feet in the first pic is what's making me think that it's a possum. What do you think?

Second picture doesn't look like possum tail but I don't know what else it could be. Almost looks like a mole but pretty big for that too.

Looks possum. IR photos can be deceiving. All you see is black and white. Possums do have alot of black in their fur so i think the IR is exaggerating it

They are just white possums, I put up a camera on a possum nest a few years ago, he came out a few times in the morning and afternoon and was white, and then he was real active at night and his fur looked black. I think its just the camera that makes them look black.

When I go back next week, I'm going to try moving the camera to the other side of the log (so it's facing the opposite direction) as most of the animals I get seem to use this log to get back to where they're coming from. Hopefully this guy, as well as a few others will still be there.

Well I got him on camera again, quite a few times actually, but after reviewing the card and it not showing as many predators, in which I'm after on that set, I took it off and have since moved it. However, my girlfriend just gave me an Illuminator tonight and that will likely be hung there the next time that I have a chance.

That's a possum. I have pics of one almost jet black and another pure white except the ear tips taken in my back yard. They come in all shades of black, white and gray.
