Well guys and gals, I'm still debating which bow I want to buy to use once I get home and I could use some input. I've narrowed my choices down to the Black Ice FLX or the Bow Madness XS.

I want a good all round bow as I will be hunting out of tree stands, blinds, and doing some spot and stalk as well. I shot the BI while I was home on leave and loved it, but the XS looks pretty comparable.

I will be ordering the bow and having it shipped to my home address so that it will be waiting on me, so I won't have the chance to test shoot any other bows. I'd like to get to try some others, but after missing 80% of bow season I will be sitting in a stand the day after I get back, not still shopping for bows.

So if y'all can chime in and tell me what you like and dislike about the bows, it sure would be a great help! Thanks.

PS: vthunter08 and I have a bit of a contest going on (prize is a case of beer), I'm rooting for the Black Ice and he's going for the Bow Madness.... May the best bow win!!

I have no experience with the Bow Madness, but the BI is one of the smoothest-drawing bows I ever owned.

(Figured I'd help you with your case of beer.) :)

I am in the same situation as you. I am in Iraq and my Black Ice is waiting for me! I bought a package deal so it is pretty much ready to go. I have shot the Black Ice while home on leave and loved it! That is my opinion.

Another nod to the Black Ice. I absolutely love mine -- smooth, good back wall, plenty fast enough, and very high quality build for a mid-range bow. Accurate enough that I feel no disadvantage in 3d shoots against guys shooting the most expensive bows.

Just a thought, but you may also want to look at the Bass Pro ReadHead Toxik -- it's the Black Ice with a different name badge on it. When I was looking at them over the summer while browsing in the store, I noticed that the serial number plate actually even says "Diamond" on it. I've heard other folks that were looking at the Diamond bows say they bought the ReadHead bows instead to save some $$$.

I got the 2008 model of the Black Ice, and I love it. I don't have any experience with with the PSE but I don't think you would be disappointed with the Diamond, great bow.
