I recently purchased a Black Gold Pure 75 LH with my Hoyt Carbon Spyder as well as a sight light and wanted to get some extra batteries to have on hand. The sight light takes L736 batteries so I did the whole ebay and amazon search to find a bunch of $.01 listings from China.

In trying to find out what other sizes work for a "L736" I came across a place called Batteries In A Flash. They had a 1-800 # to call with questions so I did so to make sure they were legit and also find out what options I have.

I talked to Mike there and he was extremely helpful. He educated me on the batteries I could use as well as gave me a rundown on the different brands.

My bow is like my dog and kids (once we have some)...I want nothing but the best in quality for them. My dog eats Merrick food and my Black Gold bow sight will soon be using Varta L736 Silver Oxide batteries. Made in Germany.

Great people. Great price. I will do business with them again anytime I need batteries for bow or rifle optics.

Why on earth would you want a light on the best fiber optics available?? If you cant see MBG pins then it is too dark to shoot IMO

    3 reasons...

1- I don't have good light in my basement where I shoot from so my pins don't illuminate that well. The target does however it is so bright I lose the pins.

2- (Main) I have an eye disease (Keratoconus) that rendered my right eye useless for all shooting sports. Had to switch to lefty where I still have some vision issues but not as bad as the right. Luckily my left is dominant.

3- I have an addiction to blue LED's.

    Good enough answer...

What's your take on the PURE MGB ....is it worth an upgrade from an Ascent?

I wish I could give you an honest answer on that but I have no frame of reference. I have been away from shooting for 2 years due to getting Keratoconus and my last sight was a true glo model of some sort. I don't remember the model.
