Just woke up:d. I needed to catch up on all the sleep I don't get while I'm at school. When I fell asleep at midnight it was freezing rain so I decided to not set an alarm. I am heading out in a couple hours to hunt.

I haven't hunted since last Friday! UGH! I'm actually trying to get motivated here at home to get some work done before heading to SK on Monday.

But, in the spirit of Black Friday, we ordered a new TV this morning.

I hunted a doe bedding area this morning. Running late because of a dead battery in my truck. I got to the tree to set my lone wolf climber at 4:45 after a mile hike in. I was there 45 minutes later than I had planned. A doe broke out of her bed as I approached, Not the way I wanted to start. I got up in my stand as quietly as I could. I got set up and was pulling my bow up. I heard her coming back and she was approaching fast. I pulled the bow up whenver I heard her taking steps. She got right to the base of my tree, caught my track and busted me. Ran off and stomped & probably snorted 5 times. I knew I was toast. Next time I hunt that bedding area I will be there set by 3:30. Lesson Learned. That is Black Friday!

I actually slept in and went to Gander Mtn today. Got an electric meat grinder on sale from 100 to 50. Fleece layering tops and bottoms for 10 each, and a set of butchering knives for 20. Great deals. 30 minutes of my morning around 10 or so.

I have too much to get done to go hunting today....going to stick around and get some work done.

Ill be out tomorrow AM with turkey as the main goal.

I got out for a couple hours this morning to hunt. Thought about checking out some shopping later but got lazy & started watching football.

I've spent the morning getting yacked on by my 12 month old daughter. The wife is out spending the family fortune on Christmas goodies.:deer: After the puke-athon, she had a nice encore of throwing a box of kleenex in the toilet while I was getting her bath ready.:bash:

I went shopping first thing in the morning but I'm not so sure I'm a Sallie; perhaps a smart shopper though...I saved $150.00 on the gun safe I've been wanting...:d

Then I hunted in the afternoon...

I tagged along with the family to the new Bass Pro in Mobile, Al., and did like Pat... saved $150 on a Garmin Nuvi GPS for my car I'd been looking at. It'll also double as a card reader in the field for my trail cameras. Talk about a slick little unit.

Also used the excursion to visit with the archery manager and let him see a Corporate BowTech guy and ensure he had all the support he needed, so I mixed a bit of work in on the trip.

Ha! I sent my mom to Home Depot to pick up the new compressor I wanted and I went duck hunting. I needed a day off from sitting in the stand not seeing a whole lot.
