Why can't Alps offer a deal on all packs like Badlands....really want their Pathfinder or Big Bear....

Amazon already has some pretty good prices compared to retail on those packs. I bought the Xtreme Traverse X a couple months back direct from Alps on a 1/2 price deal. It's a really nice pack.

Ty, check out their facebook page. I can't link it because I'm at work and don't have access, but I just saw the Big Bear is going for $30.00 on Cyber Monday. Code is ALPSMONDAY.

    BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Settled on the only one on sale...the Big Bear in Infinity can be had for just $30+shipping (comes in shy of $40 total). With ALPSMONDAY code.

Yeah I was talking to TJ and I believe he went with the Traverse and loves it, it is he who sold me on Alps. I don't always trust a lot of guys when it comes to gear but he don't lie...I like packing lighter and the Big Bear will do more honestly than I probably need. Even if I get a G20 and record I should be able to throw it in there and have room for a cam arm in or strapped to it. I like having as minimal as possible so the option to fold down the day pack and make it a simply fannie pack appeals to me. May not be as refined as the Pathfinder but pretty much the Big Bear was the previous version of the Pathfinder.

Yeah, it looks like it should work nicely. I have a pack that is somewhat similar. It has a detachable fanny that I carry my camera in. Then it has the backpack component. It's way more complex than what the Big Bear offers, but most of that's not necessary for me. I do carry way too much stuff in, so I suppose a more minimal pack could force me to take in less stuff....

Just one for right now. It has six in a box. We have two dozen shells - so I'm interested in how these look.

Pretty sure it's only a 3 pack and then 3 bases.

Hahah. Crap. I just went and looked again - I saw "3 feeders and 3 TruMotion bases" and didn't pay any attention. Thought it was 3 feeders and 3 something else. Well, guess if I don't like them it's good because I'll only be getting 3.

Haha, don't worry, I thought the same thing right away. I was about ready to order a dozen boxes at that price for some fillers until I read that!

I met the owner, Jared, about two months ago. He showed me around the warehouse and even offered to take me out for supper. He was a super nice guy with a passion for hunting and treestands.

Picked up my Halon on black Friday and Woodbury Outfitters in Jeffersonville Ohio gave me the BF discount. Bought it for 850! Probably shouldn't post on here how much else I bought!
