I am looking at getting some to give them a try. I have been hearing lots of good things about them lately. What are some of your thoughts on the arrows? Also I will be shooting them out of my triax at 70 pounds 29 inch draw so what shaft will I need? I can’t seem to find a chart anywhere

I have the BEA Outlaws cut to 28” out of my bow set at 68lbs. I use 300 spine with 125 grain points. I am guessing with a longer arrow, you will need 300 spine as well.

Look at the arrows on BEAs website and scroll to the bottom of the page for their spine selection chart.

I'd say you would be fine with a 300 spine arrow at those measurements - even if you go a little heavier up front with brass inserts or a 125 grain head. Carnivores are a great shaft - there's a bunch of guys on our team shooting them with great results and zero issues. Really can't say enough good things about Black Eagle Arrows, I've been extremely happy with them the past several years.

Just curious, how long has BEA been a BHOD sponsor? BHOD was my first exposure to BEA. I bought a half dozen Outlaws a couple of months ago. Very impressive, especially considering it is there lowest price point hunting arrow. I am going to be buying more this summer. Does anyone on the BHOD crew use the Renegades? They look like the heaviest arrow from BEA. I am thinking about picking some of those up for elk hunting as well.

2 or 3 years now. I believe Dustin is using Renegades - maybe a few others as well. I was going to use them last year but stuck with Rampages with 50 grain brass HIT inserts in them. That puts me in the mid 400 grain range which is where I really wanted to be. Renegades were putting me up around 500 which was a little more than I was looking for. I've been super happy with the performance of my Rampages and wouldn't hesitate to shoot elk with this setup. I know Rob Kaufhold, the owner of Lancaster Archery, shoots Rampages and has killed a few elk with them.

Cool. I was looking to get about 450-460 grains for an elk arrow. With the Outlaws and a 125 grain head, I am sitting at 440 grains. Sounds like that will probably work fine. Thanks for the info.

That's pretty light for an elk arrow imo unless your at close range.
