I'm going on a full year now of shooting both Zombie Slayers and Rampages without any issues to speak of. I shoot the Zombie Slayers for turkey because they're light and fast and I don't care about penetration. I also shoot them for indoor 3D in the winter. Rampages for deer as they're smaller diameter, heavier and penetrate better. Current setup is a Rampage 350 with a 50 grain brass HIT insert, Quikfletch, Lumenok and 100 grain NAP Thunderhead Nitro. Total arrow weight 445 grains shooting at 287 fps. Arrows are flying great and hitting hard. At this point I just need season to open up so I can shoot something already.

A few guys on our team are shooting Spartans and they haven't had any issues either. Here's Troy's mulie he shot this weekend with a Spartan. Seems to have gotten the job done pretty well I'd say!

I've been shooting Deep Impacts and X Impacts and have been amazed that every arrow is within a grain of finished weight of each other. Even on batches built months apart.

Can't go wrong with them. I've been shooting for BE for 2 years and I have used a number of different arrows from them target/hunting. I'm currently shooting the Renegades which are the .005 straightness version of the Rampages. I'm shooting a 300 spine, 29.5" carbon to carbon with 56 grain bone crusher outsert, 100 grain head, with a pin nock instead of regular nocks because they weigh the same as my lighted nocks. Overall a 500 grain arrow shooting about 290 fps (30.5" draw 74#). The spartan however is best of both worlds for the fact it's an 18 series arrow so it's smaller then the Carnivore and bigger then the Rampages. They were designed for speed and penetration to balance out giving you a super awesome arrow. You get speed because at a 300 spine it's only 9 GPI, It utilizes an insert so you don't have to worry about the outsert pulling out in the target if your glue breaks loose, it's also 100% carbon so your arrow is tougher for those pain in the butt shoulder shots. I hope all this helps and anymore questions feel free to ask! Good luck this season

Shooting the Outlaws. They are a cheaper arrow but seem to be grouping just fine.[IMG]

I'm shooting Rampage 300's to hunt and PS23's for 3d.

Out of 4 dozen I haven't culled a single arrow based on weight or straightness tolerances. I don't think I've ever seen another brand of carbon arrow where I didn't find at least one bad one out of a couple dozen.

I went down in poundage this year & picked up a Bowtech Reign 6 in 60# & of course when you get a new bow you need new arrows. So I'm trying the Deep Impact. So far so good. I really like 'em

I thought I'd add something here. Yesterday I was shooting my 60# Reign with the Black Eagle Deep Impact arrows & thought I'd see if the was any difference in penetration between them & my Fmj's. Deep Impacts weigh in at 426grs, fmj's are 472grs. At 30yrds the Deep Impacts got roughly 3.5" more penetration than the heavier fmj's on a brand new Rhinhart target.

I am a Black Eagle dealer and custom arrow builder. I can say that they are all fantastic arrows! I'm a dealer for other brands as well and have consistently been impressed with BE arrows and their staff. Their products offer tight tolerances and attention to detail. www.outdoorcustomconcepts.com

Just a quick question since you are a dealer and arrow builder. Have you had, or had any customers that have had issues of the inserts coming out of the Black Eagle arrows? Just curious, I had the brass inserts installed in my Outlaws this spring and have had 5 or 6 of them come out when I was pulling the arrows from my Glendel Full Rut target? My pro shop mentioned that I wasn't the first with that issue with Black Eagle, but they are not BE dealers. I ordered my arrows direct from BE and took to the shop to have them cut and finished.

This is the first time I've heard of any such issue. It all depends on the guy prepping the arrow to install the components. If they are in a hurry, short cuts are likely being taken. I've been around and have shot these for years with no issues. Come to think of it, I've never had one of my inserts come loose from an arrow I've built.

Good to know, thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what type of glue they are using. I do know that I was able to remove one insert from a broken arrow by heating it with a lighter and it slipped right out. I had to order more inserts, and they epoxy'd them in so we will see how that works. I trust one guy at the shop to do a good job, but he's generally not the guy doing the arrows. He is the one that fixed them for me this time though.

Happy to help Sir! I've done them both ways with super-glue type and epoxy. The epoxy is more impact resistant but never had a problem with either one. facebook.com/outdoorcustomconcepts

100% get the spartans man. I had a set sent to me a little before they hit shelves and haven't used another arrow since. I've spent a good deal tuning and setting them up so let me know if you have any questions. Worked at an easton and gold tip dealer and had my pick of free arrows from them and still shot the BE. Would recommend the .001 straightness if you have the funds

My set up for this years bow:
300 spine spartans cut at 27" 75 grain insert weight and 100 grain tips.
With my current bow and arrow set up I am getting the best flight I have ever had with any bow (including my target setups)

I have had issues with the outserts coming off in targets but that can't be blamed on the arrow. The shop that built them replaced them for me for free (the first one happened to be the first arrow I shot and he was watching) and I have shot them all enough now that I feel they are set.
