I just purchased a bitzenburger jig with right helical clamp. After putting arrow in jig,then when i put clamp on and slid it down until its on arrow , the clamp only touches arrow on both ends but not middle.Is this normal or am i doing something wrong.?
sometimes certain set-ups (arrow, vane, helical positioning) just don't give you good contact in the middle. slide the vane out of the jig a little bit then when you slide it down on the arrow you will get even consistent contact. I hope what I said is understandable?
What InnerX said. Space the vane a little farther away from the lips of the clamp. If you are using fast set, you can also support the bottom of the shaft for a few seconds.
you can also adjust the jig top and bottom to get correct contact at all points on the arrow shaft have the same jig and have had to move mine as well great choice you will love it have had mine for a long time with thousands of arrows built just takes some time to set up the jig good luck
