I found some good hunting on public land, and a tractor rode that goes miles into it. It is impossible to walk this road to hunt, I walked over 4 miles and didn't make it to the end.Who all rides a bike into hunting spots? And what can I do when it comes to hauling gear? I have seen bike trailers online, but they are a little pricey. Does anyone have a design for making one? Thanks.

I think making one would be pretty easy. You'll need two bike tires and a 3 to 4 foot alltread rod. Make a frame out of ppc pipe and a cheap plastic snow sled or something similar. We've made one out of a luggage carrier for goose hunting. I'm pretty crafty when it comes to jerry rigging.

The only time I ride for hunting are when conditions are right on the lake. In that case I pull a plastic sled.

I'm sure you could throw one together, but I'd just keep an eye out on craigslist, or bike with a pack on. Be sure to dress light, you'll get warm on your commute.
