You and I both know if you make every hunt count you stand an excellent chance at knocking down a great buck...

I know what you will be going through this fall and want to send my best wishes of good luck to ya.

Just so you both know, it gets worse with your free time.

I'm gonna go way off the "typical line" of thinking here.... and I'm gonna throw out Rob/Pa... he has had an absolute slammer running around for a couple of years and it is about time he is due for a PA book buck!!!!

Yeah, until you send them off to college. Then you have lots of free time, but no money to go hunting. :moose:

Good luck to you new dads!

Thanks for the wishes Scott.. I actually fear myself over everything else.. I know I'll just feel bad leaving the kiddo and the wife... even with the Ma-in-law there.

But.. getting glimpse of a solid antlered deer might erase that..:D

The antlered deer will erase that feeling, but as soon you walk through the door home again, she'll remind you of that feeling:poke:

Here is a treasure from the germ Chest, I send my wife on an extended girls only weekend before and right after the season. Make sure to have a pedicure, massage and all the pampering on the trip. Have it paid in advance and be sure to take care of all the kid details.:fro:

BuckRogers, shot in Iowa. Scored 162 even. Had a couple in the 160-161" range as well.

I'll keep that in mind Germ ol' boy. I already bought her a really nice little necklace.. but I suppose a little escape will buy some more time too.

My guesses would have to be Kelly/KY or Janesburg.

This year's biggest buck will come from either the Northeast quadrant of Missouri or the Southeast quadrant of Iowa.

I think it would be cool to see who shoots the biggest buck in their state amongst the members on here....like an Iowa big buck champ, Missouri.....etc.

I like that Idea Virginiashadow. Bragging rights for the state and for the BH big buck contest.

Thanks guys, I think it is pretty tough for us VA boys to compete with the Iowa guys and such...I mean come on now. The average 3.5 year old where I hunt runs around 105-110 inches.
