I never got a pic, I didn't know the guy that shot it. just saw one from a buddy that was chasing it for 5 years. I used to have a pic on my old phone of the sheds that were picked up as a 7 year old, and they went into the 170s. Unbelievable big deer. He was believed to be the father of the deer I shot. When I held the sheds against my deer, they were identical to my deer, just alot bigger!
Ok I found the phone and got it to charge alittle. Only pic I had was of the sheds from a 7 year old. I don't know the guy that found them. This buck lived in PA. I saw him in MD and shot the other one in MD. When he was finally killed, he was killed in DE. This buck did alot of traveling!
minus the junk I guess I would kind of count him as a 8 Image from my trail cam Been hunting him for 3 years and he was shot with muzzle loader by the neighbors daughters husband probably 400 yards from one of my stands I hunt
This guy was still very impressive out of velvet, had him inside 80 yards twice but never got a crack at him.
I just happened to stumble across this article. It's old but wow. Too bad it wasn't a bow kill http://www.fieldandstream.com/photo...02/new-bc-world-record-8-point-whitetail-buck Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Biggest 8 pointer I've seen on foot while hunting was a 9 pointer. All these years and have only seen an 8 pointer on camera or dead by somebody else's hands.
192# dressed 8 point.....my personal best. Never seen on trail cam, just right place, right time....on left.
I got this buck on camera, went out and bought a bow the next week just to hunt him. Never got a crack at him, but I can't thank him enough for getting me into archery. I was going to wait until gun season to hunt that year, but after I saw these pics, I became highly motivated to be in the woods longer. Now, all I do all year long is get ready for 10/1.
