BIG wolf on my trapline

    Went out and set the trapline this weekend and saw BIG tracks. Heres a picture of the track. It looked like it was a big male and a female. The Cartridge in the track is from a 7mm-08 which is about 3 inches from tip of the bullet to the back of the casing.

    Wow, I don't know anything about wolves or their tracks, but I do know our 120# german shepherd doesn't have tracks like that!

    Wolf feet are HUGE to stay on top of snow. either way, thats a nice sized one!

    I'd LOVE to trap wolves.... wonder what my set of choice would be? Dirt-hole set or flat set? Hmmm... :D

    That's a big wolf track. What's really cool about it is its not in soft snow, which would make it look bigger.

    Good luck whacking that guy!

    I would too, but I don't think that # 2 coil spring you used for the fox would hold a wolf that size.

    I seriously doubt it too, Keith... even with them four-coiled! ;) It'd be a blast to go after them -- with the right equipment. :D
