So, I was out the other morning on the 4 wheeler and I stopped on the dirt roat behind my house to watch for any deer entering the field. After not seeing anything I decided to pull my phone out of my pocket and check the time... I managed to drop my phone and when I went to pick it up I noticed this track on the road. The road wasn't very damp but the track seemed pretty big to me. Hard to tell when it was made (if the road was much softer), but it looks pretty darn big.

I havn't had a camera on this property yet this year, but I might just try to get one out and see what shows up.

Personally I can't say that its a buck, but its definitely a big ol deer, running thru there. I don;t think its walking. Good luck seeing it

The track is pushed out due to the mud, making it look wider than it really is....the length however appears to be around 5-5.5 inches long which is a big track length wise.

Maybe Im wrong but I think I see either two tracks there or the deer slid at the paticular spot. It seems that there are four end of the toe points that I can see.

well all you do is try to follow more tracks and see where the deer heads into cover and set up a cam on a nearbye trail.

Im calling Big track IMO, Usually when the track slides forward, so does the dew claw, im seeing straight down stamped Dews. Now it might be spread a bit but hard th tell. As Hoyt in it said, look for more down the line. I hope its a slammer, hope you connect on it!!
ps: Fangs track was about that size last season, he went 208 field dressed!!

that would be a good prank, have someone very tall put on bigfoot suit and walk in front of buddy's trailcam dragging a deer or something. person would poop themselves!

    Thanks guys,

The track didn't look to be a sliding track (its on flat ground too). I know that there is a giant doe on this property that I have watched for the last 4 years, she is as big as some of the 3.5 year old bucks.... could be her, but I can't say for sure. I will put a camera out on this property within the next few weeks and hopefully find out just who made this track.

Tell me about it, this is my second EnV 2, and I believe it is my 4 battery for it. The front screen went white and three of the six button lines on the front went out on me. It has problems with shutting off when I recieve text messages, cutting out constantly with full cell service, and my battery life on phone calls is less than 3 minutes from a full charge till the phone shuts off. I have exactly one month left on my contract and I will be done with Verizon and getting a BlackBerry through Sprint.

It doesn't look like a big old buck to me. The track is too narrow and the tips aren't rounded at all. I would guess it's long because the back hoof hit a little further back then the front making it look like a long track. I would like to see the width between right and left and the length of the stride as well.

Sure the neighbors calves didn't get out? Just kidding. Keep us posted if you learn anything more from discovering this.

I have a few more months to go before I hit the free upgrade. Verizon has been good for me, but this phone blows. I'm on my 4th one, mostly because they replace a broken one free with a refurbished phone. Thats a crapshoot if it will work or not.

    Screw crackberries...get a droid!
