I was just wondering if any of you guys have heard about a big shed found in the Menard/Cass county area of IL. While I was sitting in the Timber Valley scent booth this weekend at the Deer and Turkey Classic there was a guy that recognized the Petersburg name in a text he received of a huge shed found and came by to show is the picture. The shed was rumored to score around 110" and was supposedly found on the Grigsby Outfitters property. If any of you have pictures or have heard about it let me know if you know info! If I hear anything further or if I'm able to find a picture I'll be sure to post it!

I'm looking forward to hearing more about this as well. Always skeptical, but certainly would love to see it if it indeed is real.

I haven't verified it, but we just got done building a website for the Grigsby folks and they have a video of said buck on their website. I know when I talked to Cody (the owner) he said they were going out this past weekend and trying to find that buck's sheds. Hopefully they found it. He's a freakin' STUD.

Looks like a bit smaller than some bucks I have running around on my property. HA!

There is almost no skill in finding a shed like that. You could probably spot it from a recent aerial map! :D

All kiddin' aside, I agree with Schultzy, one big pig there!

Justin, sweet layout of the Grigsby site. :tu:

    Absolute stud!

Had a guy stop by our booth with a picture of a shed that was supposed to score around 140". Whether it was actually 140" or not I don't know, but it was an absolute giant.

Does making that site mean you earned an all expense paid 4-day hunt?! When is the last time you were in my area hunting? If you ever come back you'll have to let me know!

I wish! They've got some ridiculous deer down on that farm. 13,000 contiguous acres of bowhunting-only, managed land. I start drooling just thinking about it. I may head stop in and check the place out sometime on our way through to our lease, but I won't be hunting there anytime soon that I know of.

So out of curiosity, what's their asking price for a hunt on said 13,000 acres. I'm sure it's a pretty penny for all that drool.

About the same as any other outfitter in IL - $3,500 to $4,000 for a 5-day fully guided hunt w/lodging, food, and the whole works. They have a 140" or 4 year old minimum requirement on bucks, which enforced in that type of environment makes for some whopper bucks.

If I were to throw out my best guess I would say that the people that actually OWN the land and company are out of FL, and they just hire people to take care of business here in Illinois. You'd think I'd know more about this place with only living like 20 miles away...
