This was the first deer I saw this morning besides two doe while driving to my stand. I wasn't able to get into my stand until after 10am due to work and this guy came through around 11am.
By the way, This buck was shot with NAP Killzones and I have never in my life seen a blood trail like this. The dear was shot through both lungs and only traveled about 15 yards before piling up.
GREAT-Looking Buck! I use to hunt on the Lycoming/Tioga County Border in Morris... but never got a buck of that caliber. Congratulations on an awesome bowhunting experience.
Thanks guys, he was shot in wilawanna pa about 2 miles from the ny boarder. Family friend owned private property of about 190 acres. 4 years ago we as a group decided to put a limit on 8pts or larger ONLY. And in those 4 years it has made a world of difference. The quality of deer has increased ten fold. There are only 3 of us that hunt the property and only myself for archery. Which is nice considering all the work I put in during the off season. Again, thanks for the kind words. This buck truly is a once in a lifetime trophy buck for me.
