This buck was captured on my cam several times, only once in velvet during daylight times once velvet came off he went nockturnal, I had one encounter with him, never found his sheds and he was never harvested, I assume he died of old age but never was found, this pic is 10 yards from my tree stand!

    Very nice deer.
How do you know no one took him on a a joining property or miles away for that matter. Have feet will travel thing I have bucks this big that sometimes show up once and never return during the rut and almost always a night pic.

I had a buck this year dis-appear for three month's and the show up in jan just like a ghost. With the road hunting thats rampant here who knows if he will make it.

Bucks of that caliber your going to hear about getting shot even If It's a ways away. People have big mouths!! Hell I'd be jumping up and down If I shot him, the whole world might hear me. :)

Not in my area, People keep hunting spots and caliber of deer they have a secret and there is a close to the vest bragging rights going between close friends but thats about it. We dont have check in stations here anymore just use the phone or the computer. I have no idea what my neighbor has shot and if it was big he may not tell me.:deer:

After I made my post I thought I'm probably wrong and should change It. You hunt In a great area. Big bucks are hunted hard and your In competition with other hunters so It would make sense to keep your trap shut. Here In Minnesota where I hunt It's nothing special for big bucks. Their few and far between. That's probably why when someone does shoot something big around here It's talked about for the next 9 months.

I never heard of anyone getting him around the area or heard that he was checked in, not to say someone did but I'm sure if someone did I'd hear about it somehow! I have several bucks on this property, it's a small tract an they travel far for sure!
