I've been looking around at some targets lately and have come across Big Green targets. They look like they are long lasting and are really cheap. Some say they're great and some say they're not. Just wondering if any of you have had any experience with them? If so how do you like them? Any info will be great.

    Thanks

Are you looking at the bag target or block target?
I don't have any experience with the big greens but I own an archery range and I use bag targets with fordable stands I made from 1/2" electrical conduit. I have 3 of the Hurricane bags and 3 of the R&M bags. I bought the R&M bags from ****s and the Hurricanes from Gander. The Hurricanes were $59.99 and the R&M were $29.99.
As for the R&M they work pretty well. You have to watch your field points and make sure they are tight or you have trouble pulling our arrows.
The Hurricanes are awesome. I have one that I shoot at all the time. It has probably 2000 shots into it and still looks great.
Both have vitals on one side and dots on the other. The only down side is you cant use broad heads. I use the 3D buck target for that practice anyways though.
I know this did not answer your question about the big green but, these are two decent bags that I have had experience with.

Thanks for the info. I might go with a hurricane now, i am just looking for a decent target for the money. Bag or block doesn't matter to me and I will be shooting field points anyways. Thanks for the info!

If I could figure out how to upload a picture in my reply I would post some pictures of the stands I made. They cost me about $5 or $6 to make. 2 pieces of 1/2"x10' conduit, 2 hinges 2 "S" hooks and 2 threaded loops. All from the home depot. I takes about 20min o make them. They are fold-able and work very well. I never take the bags off the stands.

I also use a hurricane bag. I have probably close to 2000 shots on mine as well and other than the one dot my neighbor and i used primarily during sight ins the rest of the bag looks spot on. That dot has gotten a little worn and i had a blow through once but i just punched the bag a little and spread the padding inside back out and everything seems fine.

Only complaint i can come up with is sometimes arrows are a little tough to pull out. It seems completely irrelevant as to where they hit or how deep they penetrate but the bag has never damaged an arrow despite some being harder than others to pull out.

When this one finally does need replaced i will probably replace it with a similar Hurricane bag.
