Well my wife got a new job about 150 miles south of where we live now, in Central Virginia. Five years ago she left the high school ranks as a very successful head coach and teacher to pursue her dream of coaching in college. First stop was in Pennsylvania as a DII assistant coach. I moved my entire family there why I worked in Northern Virginia then commuted to PA on my off days from shift work. Then on to the Naval Academy where she helped lead the Midshipmen to their two most successful seasons in program history, in back to back years. Five years later she is the head coach of a D1 basketball program. Albeit a lower level program that hasn't been successful, but a D1 program nonetheless. They have a new arena being built and things are looking up. I believe she will turn it around....Go Lancers!

Leaving a great job but screw it, sometimes in life you have to take chances. On to new public hunting grounds. Scouting during the spring and summer won't be a ton of fun heat wise, but it will challenging and rewarding to try to and find the deer for the upcoming season.

So if anyone has any high school aged girls that are good at basketball, let me know. haha. That and any decent hunting spots in central Virginia. Lol. Gonna be a long spring moving.....

Thanks guys. A lot of work ahead but I think the move will be good for our family. I liked the smaller town feel when we lived in PA. Place we are moving is a smaller college town with a lot of it being rural. Lots of access to big blocks of public land which is a plus.

Big move for our family as my kids will be in elementary, middle, and high school. Moving parts. ....

Congrats. By central VA, I assume it's not western Central i.e. Roanoke/Blacksburg where there is a lot of public lands...and instead puts you more around Lynchburg or Richmond? Lots of farm land around Lynchburg. Richmond, not so much.

    Good luck with the move.

Good luck brother. In the last year I got married, bought a house, sold golf course and changed careers after 25 years. Not sure what else can happen really lol. We can't have a baby. What college is she coaching at?
