This is the biggest buck I have ever gotten on film, had him n front of me the year before this, but didnt have a shot. Anyone have any idea what he would score? Here is what he looked like the year before.
Had the big guy up top dead to rights 2 years and stuff happened. This guy on the bottom showed up 1 time during the rut, this is on a friends camera but on our property. Both are Georgia deer. I have some better/equal deer, but they are on 35mm, we took along time to get with the program.
Well my biggest "cam bucks" haven't given me any pictures once fall hits and they change it up/disperse off property, so these are summer pics. There are 2 bucks that are "big" to me. Hell, to me they are monsters haha. Here is Mr. thick-headed from last year... He survived and is even bigger this year. When I get some recent pics uploaded from the cuddeback, I'll post them also.. He's putting on mass again pretty quickly. I called him Thick-Headed last year, and he is holding true to his name...and it's definitely not because he's dumb. I last laid eyes on him in the woods at 60 yards, on Decmeber 13, 2009... He has shown up again all summer, and I'm hoping he doesn't go AWOL again like he did last October and November. "Thick-headed" 2009 Different buck..... "Tine-y" 2010 Definitley put on some inches from last year. Especially the brows. These pics aren't the most recent though. He has put on more bone throughout august at a fast pace. Wish I had the newest pics uploaded but I don't have time to go through them right now.. It's been a long hot work week, and friday is here . See ya internet!
......and awesome thread Steve.. I could look at trail cam pics of big bucks all day. Keep them coming people.
Steve, Here is the pic of the monster in my subdivision from a few years ago. I showed this picture to Mark Drury at Bass Pro a couple of years ago and he estimated him scoring 190-200 inches.
Jm or as you put on the other post John, Jim, Dave or what ever your name is! Even though I know it is John from the G2G! I think I would give that deer another year or two to grow some more. NOT! What a deer!
The buck in my avatar is the biggest I have had pics of or had a shot at.Maybe 160 in his biggest year. I messed up the shot on him a couple years ago. As of last year he was 7.5 yrs old and still alive but wouldn't show up in daylight.
GREAT thread, gang! I got one about three years ago that my buddy Matt Mickey instantly labeled "Left Turn" when I e-mailed him the pic of him -- because that's the pose he wanted him in for his wall, LOL! He'd went about 165-170ish or so... we never laid eyes on him again. Not sure where that pic is anymore. I got a super nice 8 with 6 1/2" bases that would go close to 150 last year... TON of shots of him in one sequence, as I had my camera in 3-shot burst mode and he was approaching it. I'll have to pull those pics off my laptop and transfer them over to here... tomorrow. It's late.
Last years late season buck had to rank right up there but I have had several over the years near 170 do to the neighbors and I being very selective for the most part. In 2008 there was a monster of a 12 ptr shot with archery tackle by my neighbor. That buck we both had pictures of and had his whereabouts and travel patterns down. Three days after my neighbor would get pictures I would get some of him. It was cool. He grossed right at 170 typical.....an amazing deer shot on Nov 1st.....the first day my neighbor hunted in 2008. Currently (2010) I know of at least one buck in the area of my property that should be upwards of 200" as a typical 12. I saw him once last year during the rut and one of the neighbors shot over the top of him with archery tackle last year. He is a buck that is talked about but no one has trail cam pictures of...yet. He is one of those bucks who has been seen in a huge area over the past three years. Mark my word he will be pictured in a magazine if taken this season.
I'm not sure this is the biggest buck I've ever had on my trailcams but He was pretty special. I got his pic two or three times at the end of June and the first few days of July 2007. I took him Nov. 2nd that same year from the same tree I had the camera in. This is a few hours after the kill This after his trip to the taxidermist Blessings.....Pastorjim
For me it would have to be the 10pt I shot last year that went around 128 gross. It was the first year I started using trail cams. One neat thing about this picture is I killed this buck before I even saw the photo. I went to get my friend who was hunting with me that morning to show him the buck. We checked the photos with a digital camera on our way and sure enough I had one shot of him. Photo is on 11/2 and I killed him the morning of 11/4. Stand was about 75 yards from the trail cam. [/IMG]
