But Stallworth KILLED a man!! Id rather have Burress running around with a gun in his pocket than a drunk Stallworth running people over with his car!! And yes the legal system in sports is very backwards! A man who fought dogs and abused them got TWO YEARS and a man who killed someone with his car got a MONTH! One killed an animal the other killed a human... Thats backwards! And Ben is just an idiot. He needs to learn a lesson or two before he steps foot in public agian. Even if he didnt do anything he should learn to stay away from situations that could lead to this kind of stuff.
You can't pretend to know what kind of trauma a girl/women goes through after being raped. This thread is a prime example of why some girls/women don't come forward. "What if they don't believe me?" Sometimes it takes some convincing from a friend or parent to come forward. A good friend of mine was raped in high school and no one believed her, and people called her a lying w h o r e...until the rapist admitted to it. 15 years later she still wonders if it was worth coming forward. She almost had to drop out of school because of the teasing/harassing. It got pretty ugly at times. Unfortunately, there have been women/girls in the past that have lied about this. Very sad for the ones that actually get raped and no one believes them. Sometimes it appears easier to keep quiet and move on.

I'd say the boy isn't too bright. Big Ben is in trouble. Of course, I'm sure a few million can buy him a pass again. That's a shame... because if he did it... he should pay, big with time, not money. Register his butt as a sex offender and throw him in the shower with 60 guys and a whole lot of bars of soap... or buckets of sand, it doesn't matter.
Bottom line, our whole legal system is messed up. I haven't agreed w/ the actions of the NFL, any other sport, or the law over the last few years. Harsher penalties are needed. I think Dante should have been a jail a whole lot longer. In his defense though he did pay the family, what, like $1.2 million. I'm guessing that was some sort of plea deal with the family.
That comment just blows me away. Do you know anybody that's been raped? There is a lot of emotions that run through a womens mind after that happens and one of them is being publicly humiliated in public by a bunch of people that don't know what really happed. Being an NFL star brings out the ***** wagon but no still means no and if it was said then it is rape. If it wasn't then it's golddigging. When I was in college there was a sign in one of my classes that said look around the room and 1 out of every 4 women in here has been raped! I was like no way....but after I talked to more than 1/2 the women in the class the ratio was higher than 1 to 4. Go find a few women and talk to them and see what there reaction was after it happened.

Crazy as this sounds, i believe it. Alot of girls i grew up with were taken advantage of at one time or another by somebody, almost always at a party after drinking alot. You can look at it alot of ways...."If your not open for business, why advertise", is a big one that ive heard. Girl dress like a skank, acts like a skank all night, wakes up in bed with half the D-line and calls rape because she doesn't remember, yet everyone took cell phone pictures/video and she was obviously not objecting at the time. It has happened at every school district in the nation im sure. And Big Ben is in the same boat with a similar problem, girl got starstruck and was drunk..... "Where theres smoke theres fire" hits the nail in the head. The biggest issue i see is WHY he keeps toeing the line. 100 million dollar contract, 2 Super Bowls, i expected more out of such a star.
