I am excited to pull the card out of the trail cam to see if this is indeed the buck I got pictures of. I'm about 95% positive it is, but I was just looking at it through my digital camera

Also a little side note....I have been cursing all of the standing corn on our property. We have over 90 acres of it, and it's still going to be a few weeks before it gets taken out. I have been fighting with it all year, and saying how bad it was for my season.

Well, if it had not been for the funnel that field edge created for this deer, I don't kill him. I would put money on it that he was bedded in the field and couldn't resist the calls I had made minutes earlier.

Great job and great buck. Now you will forever be trying to out do yourself each and every season which makes it that much more fun and a challenge. Congrats.

Alright guys start guessing scores. I've got mine in my mind, but I'm not going to reveal it as I don't want to be let down if its lower. I could really care less what all the measurements come out to, he's big enough for me.

I will hopefully get him skinned out and scored tonight, but we will see what plays out the rest of today. Mobow and jmbuckhunter are hunting about 10 minutes away and should be down sometime today to check it out. John grunted in a few bucks this morning, but nothing on the ground the last I heard.

Again thanks for all of the congratulations...it has definantly been a rollercoaster ride these past 6 months, and for all of my hard work of glassing fields, scouting, and hanging to stands to finally pay off....well it just makes it all worth it.

Another odd piece of history jumped out at me just now too. The trail cam that I believe captured a photo of this buck late that night/early that morning is right by a stand where I saw the 8 point I made the bad hit on the morning before.

This stand is about a 3/4 mile from where I was at when I got shots at these bucks later in the day!

Congrats! It sounds like you've had quite the struggle the past couple years. I'm glad everything worked out for you! Persistence pays I guess! As far as score goes... I'll guess him at about 145 and change?

A very quick scoring job puts him a tad over 150. I am going to go over him more carefully when I get him to the taxi in a few minutes.
