What? I have not heard a hint of that at all. Not sure why he would leave LSU right now.

A lateral move at best career wise (I'd say LSU is the better job currently) but he may just want to head back to his home state school and be a part of bringing it back to glory.

I also heard that earlier today. He is an Ohio boy as well...

Lot's of names are being tossed around, looking forward to finding out who all will be on board.

Screwed over? Seriously? This was the most unprepared OSU team I have ever saw... I am not talking about one or two weeks. All year.

Very poor personnel decisions... I could go on and on, but I am not going to.

Fickell is not getting screwed over... He had his chance and blew it.

I'm going to miss the Adam Sandler era at OSU, but Meyer coming in will also be good for the rivarly and the big ten.

Don't care either way. As someone mentioned.... probably not a long time before he finally gets caught being dirty. LOL I do think the guy that's at Ohio State right now seems pretty decent. He's going to get caught up in all this fuss and probably would do a decent job ..... but he's out and gone it appears.

Buckeye he was put in a terrible situation, and even as OSU was signing another coach behind his back. He got his team ready to play the game. That is true leadership, I have a lot of respect for Fickel.

I respect and very much like Coach Fickell as well, but he is not ready for a job of this caliber. I watched every minute of every game this year, some games more than once. He is just not experienced enough to have his team ready to play. The position he was placed into has nothing to do with his players not being prepared week after week.

I do not question him as a person, a position coach or a recruiter. He just doesn't have it as the lead man. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Not everyone can be "the guy". Perhaps he will one day be that person, he just isn't at this time.

That's the name I couldn't think of .... Fickel. He just seems like the kind of guy you'd want running your football program. He definitely got them ready to play. Everyone had them down and out and beaten.... including me. He made it a contest that no one really had considered.

Hearing Fickell to be Ass. head coach. Not sure how accurate that is yet.

How do you think Happy Gilmore will like going from head coach to assistant head coach? Will he stick around or try to find a smaller head coaching job somewhere else?

Zook can recruit, but he can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. He's on the market if anyone is interested

If college football mattered anymore this would be awesome news. They should just call it Jr. NFL and start broadcasting high school games instead now (oh wait, they already do that..SMH).

I liked the MLB and NCAA alot more when everything was swept under the rug.

Regardless, its going to be interesting to see how well he does. That Rodriguez dude was pretty highly toted when he got the Michigan job...how many bowl games did that produce? (i honestly dont know). You cant make a Dotson a Corvette no matter how hard you try...if you get my drift.

ps..doesnt Ohio State have a bowl game ban?
