Biden Administrtion Look to Ban Interstate Transport of Wildlife

hopefully this is a non-starter, but with this messed up administration, anything is possible ....

Charlotte, NC — This week, The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Secretary of the Interior have been petitioned by two environmental groups seeking to ban all interstate transport of wild mammals and almost all birds, warns the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance.

This doesn't have anything to do with the Biden administration. It's a petition from a pair of private charities - the National Resources Defense Council and the Center For Biological Diversity. Both are private organizations not affiliated with our government.

I read the full abstract and it's very sneaky and clever. They're clearly looking to pounce on C19 fears to end the import/export of game animals in the US. While there is no direct mention of hunting or hunters, both groups have a history of introducing and influencing anti-hunting legislation. So while they don't come right out and say it, that is certainly an underlying "benefit" of their agenda.

That one would prevent importing any piece of a wild animal in the US from another country. Say goodbye to that Canada bear hunt or your African safari. You already can't bring the meat back, and now you wouldn't be able to bring a mount back either.

I can't seem to find anything in the petition as it pertains to the transport of wildlife within the United States.

 

To be fair, I don't think he implied they were responsible for the proposal, only that their support of it wouldn't surprise him.

 

the heck it dosnt, it will be Bidens enviro whack jobs who would ok this, the admin may not have poroposed it, but it is right there with the ignorance and mindset of the dems .. this type of attack on hunting is what the enviro/anti-hunting proponents want .. as I said, hopefully this stupidity dosnt gain support ..

 

The title of your post absolutely indicates that the Biden administration is behind this petition. His appointees may end up being the ones who rule on what to do, but it certainly didn't originate from them.

To beee feeair….. what about the Oregon IP13. I feel like stuff like this happens on the reg, but nobody really hears about it, until somebody wants to hear about it, then makes it a right vs left issue. I know quite a few liberal people that hunt, but aren’t whack jobs (extremists) that also, didn’t vote for Biden.

We got the Great American Outdoors Act that was a huge win, and now we should be focused on getting the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act going instead of being drug into the anti this or that muck when there is Bipartisan support for this bill as well as the last one.

 

Groups like this have been proposing stuff like that all the time. While it’s good to be cognizant of it, if we all get up in arms about every proposal we won’t actually enjoy life. The source cited is a very right leaning source. The sky is falling mentality that media, both left and right-leaning, is exhausting and quite frankly worn out.

Additionally, it was mentioned that this was brought to the secretary of interior. While I don’t totally agree with secretary halaand on everything, and am not looking to debate her, she is a hunter and has the support of backcountry hunters and anglers along with other hunting organizations
