If this buck makes it a couple more years he'll be special. Young 9 pointer. Probably 3.

As some of you know, I filled my WI buck tag this week. So I know it's a little late to post, but here's a pic of him the night before I shot him. So technically he was on the hit list! Enjoy!

    Nicely done Mr. Dean!

No major updates on my Hit List as of late. Some of my bucks have disappeared after they shed velvet which is to be expected. Others have stuck around so I'm getting a good idea of the deer we'll be actively seeking come October.

Sorry for the bad pic and wrong date (that's Todd's fault). This was sometime around 9/18 or so. This is Bo Jackson, a solid 10 point that seems to be on camera fairly regularly. Definitely a deer I'd like to put a tag on this fall.

He needs another year Dan-o! I know you can do better than that, quit holding out on us.

As for me, my season is going to be focused on killing this dude right here. I started a mock scrape on 9/17 and he nailed the licking branch on 9/22. Freshened it up yesterday afternoon and pulled the card to find this. Sorry for the bad pic - I'll get a better one posted today sometime. I was in a hurry last night.

My #1 buck was still alive as of last week. Here's a pic of him coming out into an open field right at last light. Hopefully he does the same thing 1/2 our earlier tomorrow and I'll be waiting for him. :D

For some reason, the deer I normally see though the late summer up to now have been unseen by the trail cameras. I have been out a few times and always seemly in the wrong place at the wrong time but its that time of year and the bucks just cant help themselves. I have a turkey tag, as well as I am hopeful to tag a buck and doe through the archery season here in WI. My hitlist here looks slightly different than the one the aired on an episode of bowhunt or die, but I still am optimistic that one of those older bucks will make a mistake and come by my stand while I am there. Best of luck to everyone and hunt safe. BHOD
