Curious if Trevor had to give them permission to use it or if he got anything for it. It's a great picture with the Tink's mist flying around!
Technically it's not an ad - it's a photo supporting their New Gear article. As part of what we do for our customers we give them any of the good photography we shoot throughout the year to use however they want - on their FB pages, packaging, websites, etc. In many cases they give those images to the magazines to use for supporting images b/c it helps them get some more exposure. In this case it just so happened that we benefit a little bit from it as well. A few of the images we shot for Mathews were used in some magazines last year as well. That's one of my favorite images that Trevor shot last year. He does a great job for us and is much appreciated.
Yea I took that photo. Was a great feeling when I was flipping through that magazine when I got the the 2013 ATA show. Glad Tinks, Mathews, Lost Camo, and Bowhunt or Die got some advertisment!
I didnt have to give permission but did talk with Terry from Tinks about it and we were both excited. Thanks Justin for the great comments. I enjoy seeing my work and helping bowhunting.com and our supporters. We are blessed to be helping some great companies!
