I hunt around sedalia on a buddys farm from time to time. You're all of an hour and a half from me and @foodplot19 in Pleasant Hill. Good hunting out there for sure. Bet you can't wait to get back from the PNW. Also, I was USAF from 98 to 03. Is Whiteman AFB even an option for you? Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app Edited to say not sure why it didn't quote you @Wedes
I grew up east of Sedalia just outside smithton. My parents still live there. My father in law is giving me his farm to take over when I get out and he is down between Cole camp and Lincoln. I wish whiteman was an option I miss Missouri. My career field, CCT, only offers hurlburt, Bragg, jblm, cannon, England and Okinawa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ha! Was a contractor at 3 out of those. Bragg sucked, Cannon is the A hole of NM (God that place is terrible) and Hurlburt was awesome. Mostly for ISR support. Anyway, thanks for your service in a top tier field. Hope you get back home to MO soon. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Turrible. Imagine west Texas, throw in constant cow sh*t smell in the dry air, and some of the worst human beings you've ever met. It is worse than that. There's this saying about having a 6 inch rain. Thats where the rain drops hit six inches apart and stop. It was miserable. No idea why there is an Air base there. That town, Clovis, would dry up like the soil if it went away and the whole place is run by like 12 people. I could go on but it is hands down the worst place I have ever lived by a long shot. I did some work in Deming. I felt like I was on Mars. And I mean the inhabitants as much as the topography. Been through Albuquerque several times. What a craphole that is, too.
Stayed the hell out of Albuquerque at all cost. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Haha yea well the plan is to be done here soon, go back and hobby farm/ manage for wildlife, open a gym/ pt clinic(wife is the pt) and hunt with good people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think I have got together with maybe 4 or 5 people that are on th the fourm. All were close by within a hour or so. Have hunted with a few. Got together with Happy one day and went to Lancaster archery shoot, while there got to meet Justin and Todd. Do wish there was more get to togethers, but with 2 young kids my time is always hit or miss. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I’m from SW Pa and will travel to hunt/fish, shoot the s**t, drink beers. I have freedom with work just have to line it up with the wife! I don’t have too much to offer for private land, but I got some decent land to hunt in Pa and good public in Ohio! Could go catch some steelhead up erie too, been doing that my whole life. I haven’t met up with anyone from here, was supposed to go to a shoot Mudshark put on but didn’t line up.
We had an Ohio trip years back where I hung out and hunted with lastoneout and Gri22ly. I also met Caleb there as well. I also hunted with lastoneout in MD in a pouring afternoon rainstorm and popped two does with some old school aluminum arrows. Met up with dnoodles and we were almost murdered by 55000 rounds of unknown caliber, shot just 2 mins before dark. Like Fix said...once the youngest is done with school (5 more years) I'll be a travelling fool with my bow.
I do know that I'm getting a bad itch to travel and do a out of state hunt. I know I got a couple invites to hunt this year and I really need to just do one! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I get all over the country and would like to meet people, kinda sucks because I am usually in and out I have to get back to the office.
What part of Minnesota are you in? My grandfather left us a cabin on long lake in Longville. About an hour north of brainerd. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey I looked around and found this article to help get you brushed up and ready. Normally I don't mind taking someone's money but I kinda feel bad bc not only will I be enjoying those tags but also destroying your nocks. So... https://www.bowhunting.com/bowhunt101/5-steps-to-off-season-archery-improvement/ And the way @LittleChief slays them makes me think one of those game carts might be a good investment...
I’ve got the hauling deer thing covered this season.... By the way, what’s the bet you two have going on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Having hunted with @LittleChief last year, you may be better off taking a note from elk hunters and just packing it out on your back. Some of those ravines are steep. It would probably be faster than dragging a deer cart up some of those hills.
