Everybody knows Cam will be a bust, yet Carolina will probably draft him #1 anyways. I don't get it.

I agree 100%. I think he'll be a bust, but I don't think Carolina will pass on him.

So you think Gabbert will go before Locker or you think Locker will be second QB off the board? I don't think Gabbert gets by the Cardinals. Being an MU fan, I think Gabbert will be a bust. I hope he proves me wrong.

Wishful thinking for the Lions. I don't think Amukamara will still be available, but I'll use this mock draft enjoy the momentary happiness that they indeed drafted him. The Lions will probably take Jimmy Smith, and he'll do what everyone thinks he'll do...have "character issues".

    3. Buffalo
    4. Cincinnati
    5. Arizona

    12. Minnesota
    13. Detroit - Prince Amukamara
    14. St. Louis

A bust? Are you guys serious? Did you see his interview with Jon Gruden?:poke:

    (Insert internet sarcasm here)

    http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=6375220

    My favorite part (paraphrased):

Gruden: Give me an example of a play at Auburn.

Cam Newton: Um... you've really put me on the spot!

    Nice answer, quarterback.

Hey chief, I know you are a Mizzou fan and i would really like to hear your overall opinion of Gabbert. You guys are a big time program and I heard nothing of the dude until the last of the season and heading into the pre-draft portion of the season. I also consider that Chase Daniels was a headliner for a couple years, but why not this other guy. I watch alot of football, so that is why i am curious...how did I miss him.

Just looking for your opinion, as i am lost on him.

As for my thoughts on the draft, SCAM Newton is an athletic version of jamarcus russel, he cannot run an offense and carolina is absolutly horrible. He does not have a chance to succed, but he does not have a chance in he!! to succed there.

Alabama will replace 3 more 1st rounders in Darius, Ingram and Jones and I feel in a couple years people will realize they rode Greens sack a little too hard, and failed to hop on Julios. I say that not as a homer, but Julio has sprinter speed and an NFL body. he is an absolute beast of a blocker and plays hard with injuries. Just don't throw it directly into his hands with room to run, and you will be OK:rant:. Green is a diva to me, all the tools but he needs to much space to get off, and as we all know there is NO space in the NFL.

Gabbert was rated #1 pro rated QB to come out of High School according to Rivals.com. It's hard to explain how I feel about Gabbert. I think he has the intelligence to become a great passer in the NFL which could transfer over to becoming a good QB coming under center. Playing in Mizzou's spread offense with 90% single reads doesn't usually transfer to the NFL very well. With that said, when you spread 5 wide it leads very little blocking in the backfield which translates to not having time except for a single read offense. It just came across to me that he just never really took over MU fans like he should have and lacked leadership. I believe Chase Daniel was a far better leader on the field and made great plays despite his attributes while Gabbert must take advantage of his God given talent. I personally feel that there isn't a QB in this draft worthy of drafting at a high round.

I'll take Julio Jones for my Chiefs!

Robert Quinn---would make two studs with him and Orakpo

Julio Jones...would open up the passing game with this single pick

Isaiah, I agree. Look at the difference between Cam Newton's and Von Miller's reaction. Miller is going to be a KILLER.

Okay, help me out, I am still trying to understand how Jake Locker is rated so highly by so many of the "Experts!!!" The guy completed about 50% of his passes at the Collegiate level, and they think he's gonna do better in the NFL??? [IMG] I think he lined the pockets of Kiper and McShay to get such hype!!! Watching him play a couple games, last year, I can't even believe he got drafted at all, let alone in the first round in the first 10 picks!!!! That just baffles me!!! And making that even more baffling was that he had that low of a completion % against a conference not known for good defense by any means!!! In 2010, he had the LOWEST QB rating of all the "starting QB's" in the PAC-10!!! WTF???

As far as Cam Newton goes, I believe he has some of the intangibles that will make him more likely to do well than a lot of people realize. The guy CAN throw the ball pretty well, and he's BIG!!! He's not gonna be an easy QB to sack, and though he'll certainly have to learn not to run as often in the NFL, I think he can still bring a little something to the table that most QB's won't. Granted, I think Carolina would've been better off drafting otherwise, but Cam Newton is a FOOTBALL PLAYER, and a guy who knows how to make things happen.

With the first pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select Andrew Luck, Stanford.
