Its weird I have killed 3/4 of my deer in the morning but I hardly ever see deer in the morning these days.. The number of deer I see in the morning is going down just as fast as the number I see in the evening is going up... I have seen 3 deer in 2 days this year.. all have been in the evening.. So do yall have better luck in the morning or evening.. or even mid-day?

Morning is better here, but right now the trailcams show 99.99% of the activity in the middle of the night.

Most of the time evenings are the best by my place. I think with this moon the mornings have been better we will see if switches back.

    Loaded question...

    Time of season?

Location of hunting spot in relation to bedding and feeding areas?

It's been proven that deer activity is relativity higher in the evening right up until around Halloween when there is a huge shift towards morning activity. I believe this was in last months D & DH. I personally enjoy morning sits compared to evening sits.

I have honestly had equal success at either time.

Evening for me, although all the big bucks i have gotten were in the morning. The evening is when i see the volume of deer.

Evening has always been better for me, meaning deer sightings. Right around October 20th though the past two seasons is when I have really increased my morning sightings. More bucks too.

That is time I really start focusing on morning hunts. I think I've done 4 morning sits so far this year and about 12 evening. I can count on 2 hands the amount of deer I've seen in the morning.

The good time of the year is right around the corner and I will hunt both mornings and evenings the same.

I haven't been hunting mornings much in my area because I have always seen the largest quantity of deer in the afternoons. The buck activity is picking up in my area now so I will probably be trying morning hunts also. Bucks are moving on my cams closer to shooting time now. I think good times are fast approaching.

Where I hunt, we have seen more in the mornings, but still have seen a few during the evening as well. Obviously we hunt different stands AM vs PM.

Vendetta you said obviously we hunt different stands AM vs. PM.. Why? I have 3 stands on the property I hunt 95% of the time and I always hunt the same one... Its simply the best stand..

If you're limited to "best" stand, then yes I would do the same. The deer here seem to circle around. They go out of the woods differently than they go into the woods, with some exceptions. It's probably due to the layout of the land, and the water/food sources. Where we see them in the morning, we don't see them in the evening, and it's the opposite in for the evening stands. Strange? Not to us, it's what we're used to.

Most of my deer have been taken in the morning with 8:30am being the magic time when things seem to happen.

I see most of my deer at sunset. I have seen some midday. I have not had much luck in the morn but that will change during the rut.
