Since some of you think you really know how to age deer on the hoof, try this one.....bet you can't get it right.

The date is wrong, it was taken December 20th, 2010.

To help you out a little, a nubby in the same spot....

First thoughts were a fawn because of the long legs in proportion to the body, but the ears don't look as long as a fawn would normally have. Then again, what do I know?

Not even as old as the squirel in the tree behind it but im gonna say almost 3 months , based on fur is still reddish and you can see it still has some spots those will be gone by winters end

I actually saw this deer yesterday with a nubby....no doe in sight. From the size and how it acted, I would guess it was born sometime in October, which would mean the doe would have been bred in April. I'm guessing its 2.5-3 months old.....max.

Dan, looks like it would fit nicely on a toasted hamburger bun.

I got this photo this August and thought it was strange how much smaller this fawn was than all the rest at the time. Heck, the fawn in your photo wasnt even born yet! lol
