2009 was by far my best season of hunting ever, so far . i shot an 11 pointer, my biggest deer and first P&Y buck on Nov. 1, and then on Nov. 21 opening day of gun season i shot a 12 pointer. i'm a meat hunter first and foremost so i normally don't let deer pass. i did however let a spike or 4 pointer walk by me at first light and i'm glad i did. at 10 am, an hour before i had planed on going in to eat lunch i decided to call. i figured i'd try some aggressive grunting with some snort wheezing. within 30 seconds of my calling i heard some crashing around. i thought it was 150 to 200 yards from me so i grunted and wheezed again. as soon as i finished he was running into in my area and pissed off. i settled the dispute with my 30-06 bolt ......
buckhunter1988.... that's the same deer(the bottom 2 pics are the same deer, 11pointer is in my avatar), we can only shoot one buck here, well unless you hunt with a party. technically you could fill someone elses tag predator19..... i would guess 2.5-3.5
thanks, i'm very proud of the bucks i got this season. my brother got a real nice 8 pointer with the bow. he shot a small 6 pointer, a coyote, and a doe with the rifle so i was really proud of him too
that is awesome...first day of gun season here today...tried to take off...but no cigar..in the classroom.. Great season and congrats..
yes God saw fit to hand me not 1 but 2 excellent bucks. normally i'd shoot a 1.5 year old 4,6, or 8 pointer without a second thought. HOWEVER next bow season i may hold off and wait because i'm pretty sure unless i go crazy eating the venison i have, i can be more selective
