I've been looking on google earth for a bit, but I live in a very small town, and the land I hunt on is in that town and is pretty much nothing but blurs. I'm wanting to post an aerial and topo to get some advice on possible stand locations and to compare where I have stands now to where you guys recommend I should put them. I was just curious what you guys use, so I can try it out and see if the pictures are any better.

    Thanks!

Another good place to check for aerials is http://www.bing.com/maps/

If you are looking for topo maps you can go here. http://mapper.acme.com/

Also, if your county goverment may have a GIS site that could have aerials. Google your county and put GIS behind it and see if you can find something.

    Good luck.

Our county doesn't have GIS maps, but maybe I'll be able to convince them to let me make some here in a year after I graduate with a minor in GIS. I'm in the very beginning introductory class right now but I'm hoping by the end classes I'll be able to do a project with deer population in the area or a catalog of sightings. I found a decent aerial and half decent topo so I'll go ahead and post it. Thanks for the help.

If you're currently taking a GIS course, check out this site:
    http://seamless.usgs.gov/index.php
You can use the data from that site to create hillshades, topos, etc. If you gain access to a aerial photo, you can use the seamlessdata, overlay the aerial photo and create a great looking map
