I'm looking to buy a trail camera, or two, and wondering which to buy, I want to stick to stealth cams, but show me what you think is good!

I'm really liking the Stealth Cam G30 for $159 Online, Takes video, and 9 pics every second or two.
    Thanks guys!
(New to trail cameras, Seeing a lot of buck sign, need something cheap but good!)

???? Don't pay $130 for a G30, should be able to buy those for around $90 on Amazon. I don't have the G30 but several reputable guys on here recommend them. I have the G42's and even those are cheaper than $130 on Amazon. I can tell you the G42's are indeed a great camera, I love mine. I'm sure the G30's are good too.

I have three G42's and they are great cams for the money. Awesome day/night pics/videos.

I really like the G30's. The G42's take much better daytime pics but I'm more concerned with battery life, and reliability even when running low on cheap batteries. If you invest in Lithiums I suspect the G42's would be just as reliable even when running low, but I'm getting almost 2x as many pics out of the G30's on a set of batteries when compared to my G42's.

    Hope that helps!

My G30 needs to be mounted higher or it is to bright and will wash out from the ground plants. On Amazon you can get 2 G30 for a little more than 159 for both.

Tape off some of the center LEDs on them stealth cams.

But the browning strike force from trail cam pro seems to be a great all around cam. I like mine.

Love my G42s. Going to give G30s a try next season.

I own a pile of both G42s and G30s. Both great cameras but personally I prefer my G30s.

Now if you want to spend a little more I really like my GX45NG a LOT. I have 2 of them and they're by far the best quality images of the bunch. The built-in viewer is very nice as well. You can pick them up for $175 on Amazon.

Although if you're in the market for sheer numbers of cameras, I'd pick up 2 G30's for that price.

IMO they used to be hands down the best camera on the market. Unfortunately I think a lot of other cameras have really stepped up their game while Reconyx hasn't introduced a whole lot in the way of new features or better performance yet kept their pricing the same. I do think their Dynamic Video technology is really cool, but not enough to get me to buy.

I still think they're a top of the line product but for the price I'd take four Stealth Cam G30's over a single Reconyx.

Like the other guys said. You can get a G30 for $88 on Amazon and I'm pretty sure the G42 is under $130 on there.

    Thank you

I do agree that their prices are outrageous. I did prefer my Moultrie until it was stolen.

I did enjoy cuddlebacks, had two of them, but they both quit within a year.

I have a question for you stealth cam guys. I picked up a new g42 before the season and have not been impressed with the pic quality. The daytime pics all look really grainy to me. I have it on 12 mp. Everyone talks how great the pics are could I have a bad one?

    Maybe.......hard to tell. You sure it's a G42? They are only 10mp, not 12.

Below are a couple of pics from my G42's for comparison.

Make sure you update the firmware. If you got one that sat on a shelf for awhile it may not be fully up to date. A firmware upgrade will really help your photo quality.
