Just wondering what ya'll do to get a shot at the bucks you only see at night. Just do all day sits during the rut/ pre rut or do you just sit for the normal time you usually do? Any tips will be greatly appreciated :)

the best and only way to kill the buck you are after is time in the woods. Things will really start heating up here in the next few days so spend every second you can out there. you never know when he could come strolling by. Good luck!

Ill bet once the rut gets in full gear that's bucks will start moving more during the day. I went from seeing basically no deer movement during the day to seeing lots of deer out feeding during day light.

Yep, be ready when the rut kicks in. Other than that you could try to figure out where he's bedding and beat him to it one morning.

Many different ways. Watch your film, does, food sources, water, cycle of the rut and pressure.

One pressure no one talks about in Illinois and will get you a nocturnal buck is upland hunting. Use this day to your advantage even if you pheasant hunt. Leave your dog and gun at home and bowhunt opening day. Tons of great thick bedding areas get pushed and force big bucks to other locations. It is always the first Saturday in November and is a must all day sit.

IMO WAIT.....until you start seeing pics of the buck during daylight or the start of November (whichever comes first) before you start agressively hunting him

Hunt as close to his bedroom as you can. He has to be somewhere in the daylight. You just have to find that spot.
