I was ready to be done with it, easier than I thought it was. The hardest thing was giving up that first piece of gum in the morning. I still go to pull my dip out before I eat.
Big Congrats ! 13 years smoke free, Put my Cig money away each day after I quit, You wouldn't believe the great things I have purchased since I quit
I was going thru about 1 tin a week at a little bit over $10 a tin. Of course my wife thinks I have begun some self improvement journey.
Congrats to your daughter. Great persistance and gumption. 100 years ago I used to play on a competitive traveling soccer team and those NY teams from the lower part of the state (Putnam County) were some of the toughest on the east coast. The other NY powerhouse over the years, was our teams from just north of Albany (Shenendehowa schools).
I quit 2 years ago and the hardest time for me is in the stand. I was going through 3 tins a week during season. I still don't think I could smell cherry skoal and not pack a lip... So I make sure I don't.
Having deleted Facebook a couple years ago, I deleted Instagram earlier this week. Best thing I've done regarding social media. Interesting fact regarding community standards. Post a video of your pitbull killing someone's pet cat does not go against IG standards. I don't care if you like cats or not, that was someone's pet they loved. But if you post a rebuttle like "This is what happens when you get no parental guidance bc your mom was out being a ho and so now you fill that void by posting this kinda stuff to get likes from strangers on the internet." This is bullying and harassment. Okay. I know as hunters we post up pics and kill shots on game but I truly believe that's different. Sure its not for true survival but that deer isn't someone's pet.
Been tobacco free for almost a year now. A few transgressions here and there but happy I made that decision.
It will be two years in April for me. Best decision I've ever made. Wish I would have done it sooner.......... like the day after I first started.
same for me...that and softball. I gave up softball so the stand is the hardest. For several years, but sometimes even now I still would buy a couple tins of mint snuff and then it would be a couple days at deer camp and I would be over it. Kodiak free for 15 years now.
Just scored an autographed George Brett card, pretty happy about that. I am a big fan of him I have every tops baseball card he ever had. I have a jersey (never been worn) and a Gorge Brett official Louisville slugger. The one thing that eluded me was an autographed item, George got all pissed many years ago and refuses to sign anything. The card will go in the box with all the others, I have a note in the box for my kids that says do not throw away these cards sell them.
