Speaking of the X-files... I was just thinking today that the extraterrestrials are probably looking down on us cursing and super bummed out about the whole COVID situation, similar to how we all get bummed when EHD comes through an area and wipes out a bunch of deer...
I have no problem with a deer ending up dead.... I just prefer that their death is caused by an arrow or bullet through the lungs and that they get used to fill up a freezer instead of a coyote’s belly.
Grandson coming over in the morning after his nap daughter is coming over for dinner later. Venison medallions with 4 cheese ravioli, Alfredo sauce and broiled asparagus. Salad and rolls. First venison meal of the season.
Frank is back, he is the neighbors 2 doors down dog. The neighbor 2 doors down were the ones that took my Packer flag. I plotted my revenge Frank comes over to visit our dogs and I am going to put a Packer jersey on him next time he visits. I really wanted to do it sunday when the Packers destroyed the bears but they were still in Chicago till today. I will have to post up pics.
My daughter, SIL and granddaughter were over for pizza last night. They said they enjoyed the elk I had given them, so they left with more elk, plus some gr venison and sausage.
Youngest daughters first tournament back after her two week long medical treatment in November. She looked good and said her body felt better. She was really struggling before the treatment...for about 6 months she was in a lot of pain and being tired. Hope this is the beginning of her resurgence.
In HS, I worked in an Italian restaurant / pizzaria. Taught my wife how to make the dough and the pies, so it's our Friday night tradition. And she now makes killer pizza. When the kids were in HS, and their friends would happen to show up on Friday afternoons (bands practices, sleep overs, evening plans) and stay for dinner. Now 60% of the kids have moved out, but they still come back, from time to time, for Friday night pizza.
Frank was over a little bit ago, I have the jersey ready to put on him. I got him to come in the house but then the camera dinged and his owner was over looking for him so this attempt was foiled. I went out and told her how much Pita missed Frank when he was in Chicago, hopefully this encourages her to let Frank out this afternoon to come visit.

Bacon wrapped venison backstraps for dinner last night. Fresh off the deer after cutting it up the day before. Very mild wild game flavor, actually a bit surprised. I was worried after suffering through the way his tarsal glands smelled while gutting him, far and away the most rank rutting buck I've ever shot.
My wife did a venison roast the other night using a Mississippi roast recipe similar effect. Shread it up, over some carbs (rice, mashed or we used roasted cauliflower) Good eats.
