Wife's birthday today so we went boating back near the town we grew up, went on a lake next to the little lake a good friend lived on where I learned to water ski behind a mister musky boat with a 35 hp Johnson motor. We toured the lake a few times and headed back to the landing, there were 2 young men fishing off the dock at the boat landing looked to be about 14 but who knows 18 year olds look like babies to me. I motored up slow to avoid where they were casting and landed at the dock. They said thanks for not motoring up fast, I said I will not take long loading up and they said no problem sir. We pulled the boat out and talked a little and they wished us a good evening. I still have faith in rural kids with brains and the ability to have a discussion with an adult.
Got my Green Bay Packer Nikes today, funny my envious viking coworkers looked online and not available to viking fans. I explained that the shoes are produced for all the championship teams before they make them for the expansion franchises that are not legitimized with a Lombardi.
Took the Mrs into the big city tonight, nice Italian dinner (I did not even wear a ball cap and I was clean shaven) Then went and saw Chris Isaak in concert, we might have been the youngest couple in the crowd. Next up seeing the Mavericks when they come to town and Vince Gill. Love concerts in the old theaters, very intimate.
Made National Executive, $55 a day and I get to drive a nice full size vehicle, not some tin box that just makes more noise when you push on the gas pedal.
Taking my daughter to her last college visit tomorrow. She found a school with her major and she will be playing Vball.
You have to steel yourself. When my little girl moved into her dorm it was just me and her. I held it together until I got in my truck and then cried like a baby.
Yeah, it's going to be tough. I have 11 months until she leaves but each step towards it is wonderful and horrible. Of course she picked a college that's 8 hrs away
Morning walk with my best friend and it was 54° and she noticed a good buck in the field first... Great morning
