That prediction is a great " best things in life" after a long winter. My muscles are crazy sore . That said still enjoyed the shoveling ,though it was tough at times.

I have a pair of light over pants getting a Sawyer spraying as well as a light long sleeve over shirt . The ticks had me abandon the wood lot last year with 8 attached spring ticks despite dowsing down in deet before leaving the porch daily. I can't afford that this year.

Getting a nasty job done today. Removing wild rose, a few wild plums and a massive wild grape around the garden fence. Then trimmed the fence line of wild bramble and raspberry growth.
Dear lord it's nice to have very little snow right now...

A honey bee spends zero time trying to convince a fly that nectar is sweeter than ****.

I am Germ's home state this week at a conference at MSU, the hotel has almost restored my faith in hospitality with a simple act that evidently we took for granted. On the nightstand in my room is a note pad and a pencil. Things you do not see in hotel rooms anymore but very much appreciated, I doubt we will see the return of bibles, phone books and a free USA Today but a notepad is a nice touch.

Headed to a retirement ceremony at Camp Ripley this afternoon to celebrate a 25 year career but to be honest I want to go back I have trained troops at that camp, there is something about going thru the gates at a military establishment.

So made the journey into the city this morning to do lab work and meet with the Dr and go over test results. I can't believe it the Dr told me I am done with quarterly dr visits and labs once a year monitoring. My liver function and chemistry showed great improvement since my last tests in October. I started taking milk thistle, zinc, and ninxgia red juice every day, did my own research on supplements. I was so happy to let my wife, daughter and son now that pop's is out of the woods been a long 2 years. Funny thing is unexplained why my liver blew up in the first place.

More good news got my scan results back 2 years ago they told me my fibrosis of my liver was stage 4, that is cirrhosis, permanent scarring. My scan results from last Friday was 1-2. I am one lucky SOB.

Brought the fish house home. It towed like a dream, perfect balance no sway, hardly knew it was behind me. 120 miles the hubs were not even warm. Can't wait to start gutting it. I discovered an added bonus, a pull out that has a Coleman cook stove. The TV is going to get pitched. Giddy to have a project to work on.

Simple games that subtly teach strategic thinking and math to kids. Favorites here are, shut the box, yahtzzee, scrabble. Good fun for kids and adults but with Easter coming a way better gift than candy or staring at a screen game.
