My 10 year old yesterday, while just sitting on the couch together, says "I'm so lucky to have you as my dad". So said pretty much the same to back to him, then got up to "get a cup of water". That really stuck the landing. Being a father (parent in general) is the only thing that's ever mattered in life.
Back in the day my son had a 3 hour drive to get home to hunt. I told him he could bring one of his friends home to hunt our honey holes. He said “ Nah, I’d rather hunt with you Dad.” Won’t ever forget that day.
This is the first time i've ever heard about Tim Tebows birth. This is amazing. https://youtube.com/shorts/wZiuTp05MdQ?si=bCBzdsIF3e8xb5MR
I made it through this morning's partial shovel. The mail run and end of drives were brutal. Got drive from road to where truck was parked passable, not cleaned. Just finishing breakfast and coffee. Heating pad running on high.Illbe back out in an hour Stay safe all.
Almost finished plowing when the winch cable broke. Finding the right size cable clamp in one of my dad's old tool boxes for the quick repair. I had never rumaged through it since I brought it home from the farm. It was like he put it there for me to find.
That is so awesome, it is always very satisfying when you have what you need in a tool chest or a coffee can on a shelf. Having your Dad leave that for you is something that while can not be explained it defiantly means something.
Got a all clear on the cancer screening, 500 +% profit on a small liquidation, found a fantastic little Italian restaurant that on a Wednesday at 1pm still needed reservations or a 30 min wait. WAY worth the wait. Had hubby and daughter with me and it was just a great day all around of laughs and good memories.
