Being able to drive again after recovering from hip replacement.

Drove to town earlier and picked up lunch. First time driving in 6 weeks.

Have heard that hip replacement is better than knee replacement. Neighbor had one with a new technique by going through muscle instead of around it. Glad that things are getting better. Now about the Kissimmee trip. That requires photos for the Fishing Forum.

I had my left one done ten years ago and they went through the muscle. This one was the anterior aporoach from the front. Lot less swelling and brushing this time. Recovery time is alot shorter than last time. I will say I have more thigh soreness but nothing pt won't take care of.

    Fish pictures hopefully will happen.

I’m having my left hip replaced in January. Any tips on do’s and don’ts you could share. I’m not looking forward to it but can’t go on the way I am either. Thanks.

Make sure and do your PT. Early on take your pain meds 2 hours before PT. It helps with the pain. Plan on icing your hip and thigh every couple hours the first couple weeks. Take stool softener as long your taking pain meds.

Good luck! I hope it goes well for you.

How much time did the spend on the tablets? We went to an Asian restaurant where they cook in front of you. A family of four sat at another dining area across from us. They never said a word to each other but were constantly on their phones. See kids in restaurants with a tablet of some sort of electronic gizmo. No social interaction between kids and adults.

The oldest grandson had his tablet for the ride into the city and back in the vehicle on the way we stopped to pick up his youngest and he wanted his tablet like his brother. They have never had then at our place before and never will again. Admittedly it was quieter when they had their tablets. I honestly have no idea how my daughter does it, those boys are constant chaos.

The Pope talking about freedom of speech yesterday. He stated he was in fear that freedom of speech was being limited and the consequences for speaking freely in some places was harsh. This is a really good thing.....

Except this pope like other popes is getting more liberal, I can not fathom a pope that embraces abortion.

I KNOW God cant fathom that and it wouldn't be good for any religious leader that advocates for that

All the work on greenhouse coop.
12 degrees with 11-15 mph winds 20-30 gusts, solid 8in. of snow. Temp in coop 30 degrees and no frozen water. Happy healthy birds running around . The plan is working

Been thinking of getting a skid house, so much nicer to have a fixed shelter than a portable fishing shelter. 1 I can stand up and move around 2 when done fishing I shut off the lights turn off the gas and lock the door. I have been looking on line no I will not buy a $40,000 wheel house, skid houses with aluminum skids and frame spray foam insulated are $10,000. I found a 6' x 12' wired but not finished inside for $1300.00. Perfect I can finish the inside the way I want it.

Yeah best things in life was going to have a date night on the ice last night. The generator I bought arrived but it was shipped with oil in in it so that was a mess let it sit upright didn't attempt to use it used the neighbors. It was cold and windy had 2 portable heaters on high then the generator ran out of gas I filled it with gas and it flooded would not start. Was supposed to be a relaxing evening on the water, I ended up pissed off and quit.
