I have a 10am flight Sunday morning but because daylight savings it will feel like an 11am flight on a Sunday.
Drove thru a lot of rural Georgia today Albany area lots of red dirt and cotton and milit harvesting saw lots of road killed deer luckily I did not hit one. It has been a few years since I was grinding it on the road visiting landfills vs going to conferences and speaking. I miss predatory sales calls, I went to a landfill met with the manager about a problem and this factory sales guy got into it and fixed his 6 month existing problem in a half hour on a competitors equipment. Won the day not as easy as I make it look as I told my sales rep.
At my age having your feet at the 6ft mark of a 10ft ladder, falling off backwards and alive to type this. Having been a life long accident in waiting knowing not only how to fall but being quick whitted enough to avoid the worst that could have happened as I was falling. Now I am assessing whether I broke my left heel or just bruised the crud out of it. I managed to walk the 200 yrds home and get my brunch. Before resting. I haven't had time to stiffen up yet, time will tell. Probably shoulld not have been doing ladder work after not sleeping all night due to the respiratory illness I'm dealing with. Not to let little things stop me , after shaking most of fall off , I went right back up and finished what I was hammering in before leaving.
Well Seeing The foot was worse after a rest and I am battling this sinus / throat issue. OK add another 2 embedded ticks the last 2wks. I went to Docs. Back on the tick meds, the sinuses is just very bad post nasal drip irritation and he sent me to radiology. No one to read it so I will not know until tomorrow but he's thinking a break somewhere in there. So have to laugh, tech was just a young kid, he takes first shot and says whoe you got something going on in there?! I laughed and said sorry I forgot to tell you about the hexnut they left in me after bolting my ankle. He said that's certainly shows up well....
Geez OND, be careful! We're still waiting for the pic of you with your hands wrapped around some nice antlers, hard to do that when you're all laid up. Hope they're wrong about the foot and it's just bruised.
Thanks, the pain eased a bit overnight, I put a call into office and awaiting an answer. I'm still thinking a severe bruising. I know my fault on a stupid error. Doc laughed " Oh she couldn't take a hint after bouncing off the ground in a more than 6ft fall. No,no she hobbles, injured, back up said ladder to finish the job! " flinging his arms up in the air. Work that had to happen before last nights latest wind event, the center ridge pole needed a bit more stablization before I can get the ridge beam in place. This also stablized side walls against these winds and gives me something to set the ridge beam on so I can secure one end at a time. The stretch is 20 foot so I'm attaching 2 10ft 2x8 beams up and the center pole is a 4x6 sunken pole. Snows in the forcast starting next few days. We've lost electric many times already which tripped breakers to our basement frig and freezers. It's raising havic with our appliances can't hunt this right now anyways . I'm hoping for Saturday temps drop like a rock day and night. That will give me hanging time instead of rush job after a kill.
Finally got a call back No break! I really knew that , then came the BUT, really had to have a But. I have a significant amount of degenerative arthritis in my foot , which means feet. I just laughed and said there isnt a joint on my body I have not damaged in near 68 yrs I have it everywhere. It's why I'm always in pain, or at best a constant state of ache. It's why I have to be out working, moving, living. When I slow down it will win, I'm a stubborn beouch I'll fight it to the end...lol
Got a picture from the farm my grandson shot his first deer. Going to skin and quarter it after his birthday party tomorrow.
Does this have an odor? I have some CBD lotion that works on painful joints but has a strong smell of the camphor when applied. Clears my sinuses. Just not very pleasant.
I woke up last night, certain I had overslept. It was 11:30pm I did get back to sleep till sometime in the 3am-4am window when back pain woke me. Sitting in the cold temps this morning in the stands or the heated vest/seats seemed to help tremendously.
