It's an inline 6 with 3 on the tree. It's my first classic car and it even uses a 6v system and generator. It needs work but I'm getting things checked off one by one. Trying to decide if I want to replace the tires with OG wide whites for 300 a tire currently. I'm just going to get out through the season. Then it's time to clean and adjust the motor and redo the entire brake system. These style shoe brakes are so finicky.

My wife is bringing supper home I was going to grill turkey burgers but she stopped at the Colbornens grocery store up to Little Falls, pronounced as 1 word lilfalls by the locals and picked up a sushi tray. They have an authentic sushi chef and it is as good as any sushi I have had in restaurants. Best meal in the area in my opinion.

Huge sushi fan. If they had a grocery store with great sushi id probably eat it at least once a week. But most grocery stores dont.

Our local publix and a Kroger bought up local brand (Harris Teeter) both have people in store making sushi. You can get one of their generic options or tell then what you like /don't like and they can do custom rolls/nigari/sashimi.

Two good friends, Dave and Brian were talking one evening. Dave mentioned he’s been reading a lot lately. So Brian asked “Oh yeah? What’s your favorite book?”

“50 Shades of Grey, no question”. Answered Dave.

“What? How can that be your favorite book? I thought that was some trashy Twilight fan fiction or something.” exclaimed Brian.

“I dunno, I’ve never read it” Dave said calmly.

“What?! If you’ve never read it, how can it possibly be your favorite book?!” demanded Brian.

“I never read it, but my girlfriend has.”

This weekend our guests brought halibut and a beautifully trimmed venison loin, just asked me to cook it like I cook it. Bacon wrapped asparagus, roasted potatoes with onion carrots and mushrooms, grilled halibut and pan seared venison loin.

    THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE

That I wake up in a country that I am a free man, that I can do just about anything I desire. I know there are rules to follow but that’s ok with me.

I thank our freedom for the men and women who have protected us. Whatever branch you served of the military and or Law Enforcement, EMT, Firefighters.

    Thank You
    Have a safe Independence Day

My daughters state record for pole weaving was finally broken today 15 years after she set the record. Her horse has been dead for 3 years. My daughter was happy said took them long enough. Reezy was a special horse won my daughter buckles and trophies.

My youngest surprises me all the time. She is driven. 16 yrs old and she got a second job at a jewelry shop for the summer. Today the boss tasked her with driving 30 miles, setting up a jewelry table at a farmers' market, and running it by herself at 16. I went and visited her and she is kicking butt. 16 yrs old doing all that...makes me proud

Crazy quiet on the firework front tonight. Had quite a few around 9:30, very little if any since.

    Crazy, yet appreciated.

The guests we had for the 4th left us a 2 pound bag of halibut tails in our freezer in the house. They have kids in Alaska that send fish. I love halibut, grouper, then walleye.
