Well it's been a fun / great birthday with family and getting the new ride. She's a beauty and drives great. No issues driving but lots to learn still, like the sound system. Love the hands free phone. Handled wind on express way well.
Sunday 5 deer in the alfalfa field. Last night 11 and 2 were huge bodied deer. They came through a rougher than usual winter in good shape.
Oldest received her 1st job offer and she still has a year left in college. Makes me so happy! All her hard work is paying off.
Wife will be home tonight for dinner I am grilling pork chops in the snow. Been a while since we had a calm, normal evening together. Both sleeping at home 2 nights in a row.
My son in law went and bought my daughter a Tahoe, love that man. Instead of buying a safe crossover buy a truck that will have the advantage in any collision. Funny thing is I did the same thing when my kids were that age, wife was looking at mini vans, nope bought a Tahoe.
The birds are back, love watching the swans come in and land in the bay, watching them feed butts up is funny. Makes me wonder if the geese are going to try to nest again in the bay, the otter is still there. The ducks colors are so bright this time of year too. The songbirds are hitting the peanuts and suet hard. The crow that has been stopping by and worked up the courage to hop up on the big rock and eat some peanuts. Life is good for a bird watcher. Best part there is just one lone squirrel that comes.
There is a company called The Minnesotan who dared produced a sweatshirt supporting Doge and calls for boycotting the business. I read the story and went to the website and ordered a sweet retro AWA hoodie. Imagine a company supporting finding government wasteful spending when the US has record deficit, they must be ended.
So since nobody in-house wanted my job I decided that my in-house sales guys are going to do 2 conferences per year, that will be 8 less conferences for me this summer. 24-30 less nights in a hotel room. I swear I will not travel on Sundays or work Fridays when the dock is in the water. I am going to be 59 it is time to make others do the work.
Hearing my eggs chirp as I iron this morning. Lets hope the egg shells aren't too thick, I have only been able to see into 3 eggs and see movement for sure. All others have been way too dark. Even the green easter eggers are way too thick to see in but they are heavy. Wish them luck, chirping but no pipping yet.
