Dang came home from major grocery haul, meat, milk for yogurt, cheese and valentine gifts/cards. Let boys out and a truck pulls in. Holy cow more left over food. They brought it to me and I helped them separate boxes for others. OMH! more oranges, apples ,cabbages(huge), an entire case 50 of over ripe avacado, butternut squash, bosc pear and 2 cases of slicing tomato, whole milk.
I had just payed 3.00 for 2 avacado, 2.39 a # for tomatoes. They were gone before I could come back out to thank them. Off to who ever else they have in mind.
Avacado are on cookie sheets freezing to be bagged later. Skin scrape got me a bag of "mush" frozen for dip.
So surprised, I mean it wasn't just a few days ago they came by. I thought this was like a once or twice a month thing that happed for ppl. Not several times a week. Hhmmm I just checked my post, it actually was nearly a week ago.
Amazes me what ppl won't take I mean whole Milk with a 2-25 expiration date? They had a bunch of it in quarts. I took one they sorta insisted, to make Ice cream while gallon I bought is for the yogurt

My last post on this , I promise.
I never knew, avacados are a relative recently acquired taste for me, they could be frozen. They'll defrost very soft but taste the same. Just dip in lime or lemon and here's how they look out of freezer. My third tray and 1 more to go. We shared some with a young guy at work.
Any ways if you didn't knowm like me, it's a option for any that you bought and can't get to fast enough.

Didn't realize this trial already took place. This was the last part of my career that was still lingering out there as I thought I would have been subpoenaed into fed court like last time. A few years ago, we already got a dozen of them for 30 yrs for sex trafficking. Same Aholes must have ratted each other out and plead. That Eastern District has some bad A prosecutors.

Tough part of a job like yours, doing the dangerouse hard work, then having to hand off to incompetent turds and hoping.

I was concerned the grandsons got tablets for Christmas, I was a little disappointed really. I asked the daughter how that was going, I reminded her of when she got the ability to text on her cell phone and she was a zombie. Evidently the boys don't really use them, they have other stuff they want to do. Farm boys.

The tablets aren't evil, neither is a cell phone. It's the content they are using them for and then the time spent on them.

We grew up without the technology, those born in 2000 and after have never not heard of it. The younger they are now the more dependent they will become.

Parents today need to limit their childrens access to content.

When I was young, HBO and especially Cinemax were off limits when they first came out unless we were all watching it.

These days, kids of any age old enough to spell and type can access anything from porn to terroistic torture at any url.com.

Didn't have that chit growing up, and likely would have never delved into it regardless.

Now we have News outlets showing it, elementary and middle schools promoting it and high schools and colleges teaching it. Reverse any of those orders and it remains the same.

Scored one hell of a deal this morning, a 38' dock and a boat lift with a canopy for $1400. Grandson's dock and boat lift for their boat.

I am stoked about the dock it allows me to clear an area around the dock of vegetation. I can use my pump around the dock to clear muck down to sand in areas around my dock I have done that there are spawning beds. We do not fish for spawning fish just like to watch them.

I am planning to do some muck sucking in my pond. What should I look out for in terms of equipment, like the head fitting at the end... and anything you can enlighten me about. Can a 2 inch suction trash pump eat weeds? TIA

I don't suck up the muck, I blast it out with the discharge using 1" fire hose and a 4' section of 2" pvc. I have a little Honda 4 stroke that puts out 60 gpm.

Starting Saturday the temps go above freezing for 5 whole days in day time. :nana::chewy:
I'm so over winter, had to check my face for frost bite just going to feed the chickens yesterday. So cold none of them laid eggs and I'm normally getting 3-6 every day now.

That sou vide I asked for for Christmas...another 5 quarts of healthy yogurt and more fantastic chicken. It has paid for it's self in cost saving but also in, Oh yes,yes indeed , I told you so's. Kind of like the chicken incubator I asked for last year. 8 new chicken a steady supply of eggs and 15 chicks planned for this year. What are eggs up to now, if you can find eggs?
