Put good out there and good swings back. It snowed and I shoveled, 4" and heavy. The hunter I've given permission to track across us stopped as I started the drive across street. He plows and offered to plow for me. I declined due to this being my winter exercise and we talked hunting and such. When he left he said if we get a heavy fall, give him a call and he'll come out to plow for me. I thanked him.

So had a great idea today. My wife is going with the daughter and the boys to Florida in March. I have that hazard tree down by the lake. Inviting my fire buds up we are going to grill steaks, drink whiskey, wrap that oak tree in tannorite and shoot it with hand guns till it drops. Then it will be cut up and cleaned up in record time.

Better invite the neighbors too. Or at least worn them of the activity.

    Video would be interesting too.

I need to start carrying my phone.
Today after shoveling drive, for the 4th time this week, I started the drive to coop. I went with a truck width. Shoveled to coop and turned to head back to road widening path. I felt an odd feeling and decided to look behind me. There 3ft away in the path I'd just shoveled was a bunny rabbit. We both froze starring when I just shook my head and laughed. Turned and continued shoveling. Looked again and it was gone, having hopped out of path and through deep snow to nearest trailer. I wonder how far he would have followed me had I not turned around, LOL

Better be shooting from behind a safe structure at that range.

This was 75yds, the door made it back to us. Took a few shots "searching" for I think 2 or 3 lbs of tannerite inside the dryer.

Fun stuff when you have the space

IMG_2958.jpg IMG_2957.jpg I dropped the tree yesterday, 44 degrees zero wind perfect conditions. I got lucky and was able to get 2 wedges in it after that it was child's play.

Cutting hollow logs is risky business for me. Glad it came down easy for you.

I got to cut down hollow trees that were on fire, and they paid me for it. Funny when I retired from fire I loathed running a chain saw was sick of it. I have kinda learned to love it again, now my under sized homeowner saw pisses me off, too slow. When I hear saws running in the distance it bothers me, I hate needless revving of a chain saw. You do not feather the throttle you depress the throttle fully and cut at full throttle. 90% of people that own a chainsaw have no idea how to operate and cut properly.

I run a saw like I was not held enough as a child, saw operates best at full throttle.

Cold windy day decided to make to roast the doe neck I had in the freezer. Want the bone broth to make wild rice soup with, but venison loose meat sandwiches will be damn good too.

Would be if it stopped SNOWING!!!!!
I'll be honest I'd pity the pour soul that would be stupid enough to come at me in a " negative way".
My back shoulders and legs have had major work outs this winter. My knees may hurt all the time, but the muscles in my thighs and calfs have never been stronger.
Just spent another 2 hours shoveling and tossing snow.

My girls have played two tournaments so far this year and won gold in both. We will sustain this but it feels great to be ranked so high!
