Granddaughter number 2 is due any day. All the kids and granddaughter will be here for dinner tonight. And if I'd doesn't get any better, I'm ordering my new glasses today.
Thanks guys, other than, this being on the side of my nose near my eye, I'm pretty chill about it now. As far as a scar, well it sits directly under my eye glass bridge pad which covers it.

First week of January, I was asked if I could fill in and commission a new landfill cell in Florida, yeah I suppose. Going to spend a week to take care of some business stop by and visit my dad and bring my fishing gear home. It is therapeutic to smell green growing vegetation in the winter stealing 1 week from winter.
This grading period both of my daughters received all A's and one B in college and hs. They are "wind them up and let them go" students. They take of business without any prodding. Love it. The youngest hasn't asked me for any gas money in five months and bought her own gym membership. Very proud of her.
A loved one of mine has been very sick for many months. They can't figure it out. The C word has come up many times, yet through blood tests they said there was no bad stuff happening. Yesterday they were at the Mayo clinic in MN and had comprehensive testing including a PET scan to check for the worst stuff. It all came back negative. Even though she is still pretty sick this is a big relief as we push forward in trying to figure this all out. Part of the heavy feeling on my shoulders, chest, and mind have dropped a bit. Been dealing with this since late summer. Still vigilant but at least I can let my guard down a bit and rest.

Wife and I had a couple up for New Years dinner and they brought non cultivated real native wild rice, not the black crap you buy in a grocery store. So incredibly good and so much better than store bought.
Being awake at 3 am laying in bed unable to sleep listening to the lake boom from ice being made because it is so dang cold.
Finally being able to contact surgical unit for cancer surgery. Now awaiting a call back. This might not be for a while. I sounded so bad on phone they asked me if I needed them to call for medical services. Yes ,yes still coughing up lung, working on 2wks now, but getting better. I actually slept through the night last night, huge win.
I go into a church in town to donate blood the lady checking me in says oh you are on Pine lake too, turns out she is not far down the lake. She asked me if I knew a man named John with my last name, I asked did you know him from St Paul or Clearwater lake? She dated my dad when they were in high school.
Exactly two weeks and finally I'm on the back side of this. I still sound like I have smoked 5 pks of cigs a day the last 45yrs.. I do not smoke at all. The cough is only air hitting what I've torn up in my throat, not the build up of flem .I can now actually blow my nose again. LOL Too much info I know, but wildly relieved. Don't need a Dr. To tell me it was pneumonia. No fever and in my lungs and throat. I've had it so many times over the years it's just a thing now.
Most of the country getting a taste of the normal NY winter. Makes me happy, just hoping I don't get any of the Texas heat as karma Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
