Last go round of the summer this weekend my son is coming up, the boys and their parents for sking and tubing. One last frolic of summer. Saturday night when I pull the boat I will start taking it apart, remove the swim deck and pull off the tower. Boat is going in to be detailed, gel coat all touched up it will look like new.
My youngest hasn't asked me for any gas money since she got a car two months ago. Haha. She is taking tough classes, soccer 4 to 5 days a week, and still works one day a week for her gas money. She has come so far.
I just want to say that I really like grilled turkey burgers, better than beef. Butterball frozen patties with smash burger seasoning 7 minutes a side.
Going outside in the morning and hearing gunshots, so blessed to live in a rural area where gunshots are not concerning, except when you hear a shot and think, that was a little early, or that was a little late to be shooting.
Boys were over yesterday it was warm so they wanted to swim, I had to drag the Lilly pad out of storage. Kids played till they were uncontrollably shivering, grandson drove the pontoon home I built a fire and they ate smores. It was a great way to spend our 33rd anniversary, look at what we started the day we got married.
My 4yo son, bless his heart, just graduated from pull ups to underoos. Very grueling considering both my daughters were potty trained before they were 2. Any how nothing was more exciting to him than when i explained to him what the access hole on the front of his underwear was for. He really got a kick out of that.
First sit of the season, heading out right now. I honestly don't care if I see so much as a squirrel. Coaching 8 months of the year and being a dad, husband, and employee has me saturated. Time to return to nature and find my center again. Time to be thankful and reflect a little. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Ahhhh my kiwis being ripe and getting some before the raccoon do. They are such a treat I partially break my diet for.
Last night was very peaceful, my son came up and picked up his dog, we had him for the month of September, and the grandsons went home after spending the weekend. It was very quiet and peaceful.
Got a bigger storage unit, my garage will be empty except for essential items, I have a project boat to finish. Looking forward to having something to work on.
The first true sign gardening season is over. I have a clean no clutter kitchen table again! The second, I can clearly see my wood furniture and my house has a lemony smell Though I have to admit, I'm still picking peppers, beans and tomatoes. Brussels are a wait for frost. Tonight I stuff another 112 poppers. Giving lots of peppers away. Son picks up a big sack tonight and I clean rest of them for nieghbor tomorrow.
Kind of a weird story here. A few days ago, I was really down. Been waiting on some info about a loved one's health. Well, I get to telling my wife I used to hang around people who told stories and had a good time with all the crazy things we've seen. Told her people at my current job don't want to hear my dumb stories and I need to just stop. You know basically self-pity. I walk into work the next day feeling down and then head to lunch. Well, this little old 75-year-old lady that works at our store is in the break room. As soon as I enter the break room she says, "what stories are you going to tell today, I love them". I just stood there. She had never said that to me before and the timing of the comment had me really take a step back.
Getting in the Gator and driving up and down the road knocking on doors giving buckets of sweet and jalapeños peppers with cherry tomatoes away. Having one new nieghbor saying I made her day and she absolutely loves the nieghbor hood.
