After two seasons of ups and downs and a lot of time, effort, and energy (and money), my son's team finally got their first tournament victory. They've been runner-up a handful of times but couldn't quite get that last win. This weekend was different, as the entire team played great. Joey balled out with four home runs, a triple, and two doubles, and pitched a complete game in the semi-finals against a really good team to send his team to the championship. He's really settling into his new role in center field after moving from shortstop and made some great defensive plays, including throwing a kid out in the last inning of the final game as he was trying to stretch a single into a double. There will be many bumps in the road ahead, but you have to savor the good times while you can.
So soon? Man it’s time to brush the rust off and break the ol bow out and shoot. I just realized the other day it’s been a good 2-3 years since I shot last. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I suppose better break out the crossbow end of September, going to take 2-3 shots to make sure the scope is on. Get the tripod vice set up and let the bolts rip.
Son bought a brand new party boat. The grandsons should have a great summer. Though they have to haul it.
Completely bored just have lawn to mow and tinker around the yard, wife is in Florida for another 2 weeks left to my own devices. It is nice sometimes to be bored and quiet.
I ordered a wood loon decoy that I am going to sand and paint, it is a decoy not a work of art, it will turn out or my decoy painting hobby or might turn into a decoy throwing hobby.
My niece will once again be swimming in the Olympic trials...trying to qualify for the team. How they built the pools in the NFL stadium is also pretty cool. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8DJcZJqorz/?igsh=MWZtaWRhY3MwZGQzZA==
