HAVE A BLESSED EASTER WEEKEND May all our spirits and those around us, rise to makes us the best people we can be.
Hope you had a great day in faith and love with family. We all, including the 5 dogs enjoyed time together at our daughters. It was a gathering for Easter, my 66th birthday (today) and our sons 38 the birthday ( tomorrow). Good food laughs, a bit of craziness. Thankful for Gods most important gift.
Wondered what the waterfowl were piling into the bay to eat, put the waders on and grabbed the mesh net, freshwater shrimp and there are a lot of them one dip had more than a dozen.
Complete badA. Survived Pearl Harbor on the Arizona. Shot down over New Guinea in 1943 and survived. 28 years in the Navy. Rip.
Thats tough to follow..lol Got the Gator back this morning when he had picked it up Friday. Not a bad price at all. The very very bad noise was debri in brakes. He serviced it, took off all armor plating and power washed it. The disc breaks ,all of them, needed replacing and the spark plugs as well. Not bad for 10yrs. old.Good guy, pick up and delivery, good work done at a fair price. I just may have the JD mower in top shape this year. It will e a few weeks before he has the time though.
Oh man sqeaked past an awkward social situation today. I'm shopping when I here my name called out . Look up to see a semi familiar face. So I cheerfully reply " Oh hi!! " nope no luck there, here he comes. Let me introduce you to my wife and cousin. Then he says this is ...... baby sister. I laughed and said ya the baby just turned 66 ysesterday. Well that got a "you look dang good for 66 " and a head turn. "Well thanks" This is when I started praying please, please, please do not ask. Half luck the guy, sis inlaws brother, said how old do you think I am?...phew thank you God.I literally grew up with him and said 70..he's turning 71. Have not seen him in decades. About then the other two piped up ages. THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!!!!! ,
My daughter put in her notice today, the boys are 4 and 2 oldest will start preschool this fall, he will not be riding the bus. Glad to hear the kids will not be getting up early for daycare early. Little bit selfish kids will be at the lake a lot this summer. It was a challenge when my kids were young my wife left a great paying job at Prudential to stay home but it was worth the sacrifice, proud that my daughter understands the value of that as she raises her kids.
Good for her. After my first was born I got a job as the manager of the harness dept at ITT for computers. Mind you daughter turns 41 in May. Well I get home and pick daughter up and she is on fire and nearly unconscouse I was wild! Call doc and we got her temp down to stabilize her until he could see her. That night I drove into the city let my self in to the dept. Cleared out my stuff and left an apology note that stated no job is worth my daughters life. The next day the day care got a knock on the door.I explained she was lucky my daughter was OK. after having nearly 103 tamp. Had she not recovered, this visit would have been my dragging her from the building , tying her to the back of my car and dragging her through town. Not to worry though, by the time I'm done making calls her reputation will feel said effect. They sold there home and moved 5 months later. I started my own day care.
I hang out in the garage in the evenings staring out the window watching the birds, tonight for the 3rd time I got to watch a piliated woodpecker feed on an ant infested dead oak tree, so cool to watch.
Saw a pair flying from tree to tree, they have a hole in stump of 1 tree, caused another to split and fall.
The ones around here are jumpier than the Turkeys, never had one get closer then 15yds to house. Had to sneak phone alongside of window curtain to get picture, 2nd one flew off. I hear them with that laugh more than I see them.
