We've been to pot cakes and even brought one back to the states for a couple last year. Was interestng carrying a sweet doggie through customs, but was pretty easy. We might go by today, if we get time. These poor dogs here just don't get a fair shake. We volunteered to bring one back this time, but no takers.

I butterflied a small venison roast spread a liberal amount of crushed garlic on, a few springs of rosemary and thyme, a good bit of black pepper. Then tenderized the roast with a jaccard. Flipped the roast and repeated the seasoning and jaccarding. Onto a hot grill to sear each side. Onto a toasted roll with feta and a finish with a good evoo. Yum. View attachment 174097
Otter pelt I ordered showed up today. My grandson was concerned about the otter being mean to my son's dog. When he comes over I will give him the pelt and tell him grandpa killed the mean otter with his bare hands, and left the nice otter alone.
Todays project, get the go fast boat backed into the garage and get all the water toys out of it and prep it to go fast. My garage will be filled with the tubes, skis, floaties etc. I am thinking by next weekend it will be time to put the boat in and go for a few rips down the lake, I miss that feeling of flying over the water.
Watching the swans at close range feeding in the bay, beautiful birds it makes me chuckle when then go butt up to eat off the bottom. I also enjoy watching them lift off the lake it takes them a good distance to get off the water and two rotations around the lake to get above the tree line and they are calling the whole time. Great way to spend a Sunday morning.
Decided to get back to my water roots. Growing up my grandpa had a house at lake of the ozarks. My aunt and uncle took it over when he passed. I was 6 or 7 years old probably when i was pulled up on skis for the first time. Used to cut up with the slalom into my early 20’s, then unfortunately they had to sell the place. Core memories for sure. I can still smell the musty, fishy, smell of that lake house and it makes me glow inside. Cant wait to show my kids how much fun it is! Drove to Kentucky to pick it up yesterday. 2016 southbay tritoon Here we go!
What do you have for a motor on that? I recomend buying Strartron fuel additive and add to every tank, it prevents a lot of problems. Also check out the I boats website their forums have knowledge and experience.
When I first bought my pontoon I bought a ladder for the front that mounts under the front and slides out. It was far too heavy duty and didn't mount right. My wife wanted steps to go down from the dock and get into the kayak or walk in the water. I looked online at the dock store and what they wanted for stairs to bolt to the dock was obscene. I dug thru the garage and did a few measurements and hot damn the retractable heavy duty pontoon latter will work perfect for steps on the side dock. I love saving money and don't feel so stupid about buying that ladder for $125
Its a merc 150 4stroke. The boat itself is a tritoon but its considered a 2.75 model so middle toon is 3/4 length. We took it out just to run it. Pushes the boat nice. I think gps had us at 36mph. Fast enough for the family boat anyway, just want it fast enough to get out of bad weather in a hurry if we have to haha. I will buy that for sure. I filled it up with premium and did add some marine stabil
Grandsons stayed overnight gave he oldest the otter pelt , he loves it slept with it last night, has it on his lap while he is watching cartoons this morning.
Apple pie made from my home canned apple pie filling. House smells great! It is actually 1/3 keto as far as sweeteners and thickening agents.
So 13 years ago my best friend and greatest mentor died, my grandfather. He always wore a gold necklace with and eagle pendant on it. It’s a pretty pricey item for a man who lived through the Great Depression. It’s always shined and he took great care of it. When he died my father claimed it, and I feared it would be Pawned, lost or traded for well to a hooker. 8 years ago I stopped seeing it on my dad, he has recently fallen sick and it is the beginning of the end for him. I feared the necklace was lost forever and for the past two weeks I searched his house and could not fine it. I have not seen it in around 8 years. I brought his car to my home as my son has his own detailing business to have a car that was just a disaster cleaned. My son ask if he could keep what he found, I said sure. Went to see ghosts busters with my wife and when we returned I ask Zach what he found. Titliest prov1’s 10 dollars in change A necklace worth thousands dad, I looked it it up. Dad it has an eagle on it. I dropped to the floor and I cried. I told my son it will be his, just not today. Stuff in the seats for god only knows how long. It’s been cleaned and now sits in my safe. It’s a good day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sat and watched the sun come up this morning, had 26 wood ducks, half dozen mallards 2 geese and 6 swans in the bay and infront of the house, went and sat outside for a while just to listen, the bay has a steep bank on the backside so their calls echo it is soothing.
